The Minor Works Manager will oversee repairs, refurbishments, new installations and minor projects ranging up to £250,000.

  • Hours Per Week: Monday - Friday 40 Hours
  • Job Type: Permanent / Full Time

The Minor Works Manager will:

  • Ensure all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Procedures are followed
  • Undertake the management of all site project staff and working closely with the commercial team.
  • Drive planning of projects
  • Manage and control all project resources including supply chain
  • Develop and manage project pipeline
  • Be responsible for the overall management and commercials of the projects under your remit
  • Ensure all Company Procedures are being complied with
  • Be responsible for achieving high standards of quality and workmanship on site
  • Ensure that all aspects of the projects are effectively monitored and controlled
  • Deliver projects within programme and budget
  • Ensure adherence to site specific project protocol and procedures
  • Manage and monitor subcontractors
  • Communicate effectively with all GRAHAM stakeholders impacted by the delivery of Project works
  • Liaise with client and designers
  • Attend and chair regular project progress meetings and compile progress reports for presentation to the Client and internal management
  • Attend and chair regular sub-contractor and client meetings as required
  • Compile and distribute project meeting minutes
  • Maintain contractual records of all project related matters.
  • Attend and provide input on regular contract meetings with the Client
  • Introduce improvements and innovations where appropriate
  • Control Project costs & sales
  • Positively promote the company wherever and whenever possible
  • Compile and submit O&M manuals, asset registers, etc upon project completion
  • Be part of an out of hours escalation rota

About You

Essential Criteria

  1. Demonstrate previous experience in a Project Management role or similar.
  2. Demonstrate strong communication and management skills.
  3. Experience in the delivery of commercial projects up to a value of £250,000
  4. Ability to manage and deliver numerous concurrent projects of varying financial values and scope.
  5. Ability to plan and programme projects using MS Project
  6. Excellent IT skills I.E Microsoft Office.
  7. Excellent presentation skills.

Desirable Criteria

  1. Technical background - Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC
