Microbiology Technical Manager

To support our ambitious growth plans, we have a great opportunity to join our well-established and highly-regarded Microbiology Division. SOCOTEC is the leading provider of Environment and Safety service across UK. SOCOTEC's teams undertake a range of services to assist clients in microbiology, delivering analysis and technical advice.

We're looking for a Technical Manager to join an enthusiastic Microbiology team committed to protecting worker health and the delivery of consultancy services to clients across the UK & Ireland.

Reporting to the Operations Director you will:

• Be responsible for the technical development and implementation of our specialist microbiology services
• Be instrumental in the professional development and advancement of our technicians and trainees
• Maintain, monitor and continuously improve the performance of staff, equipment, systems and procedures to company standards and industry best practices

Qualifications

• Experience of delivering high quality, technical microbiology services
• Qualified Microbiologist with an excess of 5 years experience and a sound knowledge of UKAS accreditation systems
• A proactive and organised approach to work, with auditing experience an advantage
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills
