We are excited to be advertising for two candidates to support the Child Wellbeing Practitioners (CWP) and the Mental Health Support Team (MHST) teams, on an internal secondment or an external fixed term contract until 31st March 2024. The two successful candidates will work closely together alongside the MHST/CWP Service Lead.
Main duties of the job
One of the roles will be more clinically focused, with one of the roles being more operationally focused, but both roles will need to work together to support the safe running of the service.
As both roles will cover Torbay and Devon, the candidates will need to be able to travel around, but can be based out of any of the following locations; Torbay, South Devon, Exeter or North Devon.

Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) comprises an Alliance of NHS organisations working together to improve health outcomes for children and young people in Devon.
CFHD provides integrated care and treatment for children and young people across physical and mental health. We are working closely with other organisations and providers to ensure we deliver locality and county-wide based integrated access to all of our services, based on the i-Thrive Framework.
CFHD works closely with our local universities of Plymouth, Exeter & the Peninsula Medical School where we support students in clinical training placements and in addition support our own staff to undertake post graduate training.
Our integrated care and treatment has been developed and refined in partnership with children, young people and their families/carers.

The post holder will work with the project manager to further develop the partnershipworking that is currently taking place between Education, Local Authority, CCG andCAMHS locality teams across Devon and Torbay.
The post holder will report to therelevant compliance boards and partnership meetings ensuring service delivery isreported on in line with expectations.
The post holder will be expected to lead the evolution of service development,implementation and total delivery of the Trail Blazer Mental Health Support Teams(MHST) across the whole of Devon and Torbay and be able to adapt to the servicegrowth with a measured and organised approach.
The post holder will be responsible for the overall effective clinical and operationalmanagement of the Trail Blazer Mental Health Support Team working with the MHST team managers and staff teams. They will use clinical expertise, effective leadership,change management and team building skills to monitor, evaluate and develop theservice provided.
The MHSTs will deliver evidence based interventions supporting emotional wellbeing,primarily in an educational setting. The post holder will be expected to embed strong androbust audit measures to ensure clinical outcomes are successful and in line withexpectations of this new and evolving service.
The post holder will be expected toemploy a range of embedded practice to quality assure activity in all aspects of theMHST delivery.
The service will be available Monday to Friday 9-5pm, though there may be times whenengagement events are required beyond 5pm in line with service delivery to supportwhole school engagement. It is essential that the post holder is flexible and willing totravel across Devon and Torbay.
The post holder will be expected to attend local, regional and national Trailblazer eventsand demonstrate substantial leadership skills in supporting the national evolution of theMHSTs.
