Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Meter Inventory Manager to work on our Netmore/Yorkshire Water Smart Metering framework. Building on our 25+ year relationship with Yorkshire Water, this exciting programme involves the installation of 1.3million meters and is critical to the region's future supply needs.

As the Meter Inventory Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the day-to-day meter stock is available across over 100+ meter installers via a management of our Logistics Partner.

Meter Inventory Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages relationship with our Logistics Partner, Client and asset suppliers to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels (inbound stock to warehouse).
  • Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyse daily product and supply levels to anticipate next day delivery requirements and remove inventory problems and shortages (outbound daily deliveries to installers)
  • Understand schedules of employees, deliveries and shipments to optimise operations.
  • Manage the returns process of old assets removed and their disposal.
  • Communicates across multiple stakeholders to meet business goals.
  • Develops business relationships with suppliers and clients.
  • Proposes strategies to reduce costs and improve procedures of supply chain logistics.
  • Monitors demand and analyses data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
  • Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues via escalation.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure reporting accuracy.
  • Own the training and procedures associated with the logistics processes

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
