At Boots, we believe in the brilliance of our people. As part of our Store Development team, you will lead a dedicated group of Merchandise Specialists, ensuring our ranges are displayed in an attractive, easy-to-navigate, and operationally friendly manner across our store estate.

About the Opportunity

In this key role, reporting to the Head of Merchandising, you will oversee the delivery of strategic and tactical rebuilds across our store estate. Your leadership will be crucial in managing rebuild projects to ensure they are executed right first time, on time, every time.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead and inspire a team of Merchandising Specialists, driving continuous improvement and ambitious KPI agendas.
  • Project manage cross-functional teams to deliver merchandising initiatives effectively in-store.
  • Blend customer insights, commercial acumen, and operational ease to create optimal displays for our customers.
  • Manage a diverse range of categories, balancing competing priorities from various stakeholders.
  • Foster collaboration across a wide cross-functional team to enhance merchandising strategies.
  • Implement and maintain differentiated planograms by store format, informed by the latest customer demographics and shopping behaviours.


About You

  • A strong people leader with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team focused on continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience in managing multiple overlapping projects while keeping governance forums informed of progress and addressing any issues proactively.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, capable of engaging with senior stakeholders across functions.
  • Adaptable and resilient, with a positive approach to change and the ability to lead your team through it.
  • Confident in articulating ideas, opinions, and solutions while also valuing the perspectives of others.
