As a Category Merchandiser you'll work with a Category Squad to deliver the Category performance and achieve our annual sales, margin, stock and availability budget targets. You'll identify availability which is at risk and what needs to be done to get back to plan.

You'll work alongside different functions in our business, such as Distribution, Space Planning, Central Forecast, Central Planning, Buying & Go To Market Teams as well as external Suppliers and Logistics teams. Working closely with a Senior Category Merchandiser to deliver the category strategy and range plans, you'll support Assistant Category Merchandisers, using your skills to help us offer the best range and deals for our customers.

Role overview:

As part of this role your responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring sales, margin, stock and availability are on track to plan and highlighting to the category squads what needs to be done
• Ensuring the right stock is available in the right place for our customers
• Managing the Assistant Category Merchandisers to ensure correct management of stock
• Managing the weekly OTB for areas of responsibility
• Closely monitoring the promotions and events performance against plan for all key KPI's

You'll need:

• Excellent merchandising experience, including demonstrable experience in the electronics/technology market
• Strong numerical and analytical skills to review data and provide recommendations and actions
• Excellent inter-personal, negotiation and communication and presentation skills
• Excellent commercial awareness and appreciation of customer needs
• Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel
