We are seeking a dynamic and experienced MEP Planning Manager to contribute to the Net Zero Teesside project based at our new site in Redcar-in-Cleveland on Teesside.

What you'll be doing

As an MEP Planning Manageryou will have the following responsibilities,

  • Managing MEP and supporting team
  • Planning and programming MEP engineering works
  • Process Map works to understand logic and constraints.
  • Assisting with MEP design programme
  • Monitoring progress during construction, KPIs, re-programming if required.
  • Preparation of submission documents and reporting.
  • Assist with preparation of compensation event programmes and narrative.
  • Assisting with labour resource works inc. histograms
  • Assist with procurement planning.
  • Presentation/dissemination of planning/programming philosophy
  • Prepare and or develop from tender programme, well-engineered contract
    programmes, which contribute to successful project outcome in terms of time
    and cost.
  • Prepare monitoring systems and monitor contract progress.
  • Prepare and assist with the monthly progress reports for submission within the
    monthly report.
  • Assist with compensation event programmes and narratives, which facilitate
    successful compensation event resolution.
  • Familiarise yourself with contract scope changes and advise accordingly.

Who we're looking for

Do you have?

  • MEP Planning experience in a management role
  • Knowledge & understanding of various forms of tender documents, contract
    documents and specifications.
  • Knowledge & understanding of various methods of planning, programming
    and progress monitoring.
  • Understanding of risk and opportunity management with particular reference
    to planning/programming.
  • Understanding or all MEP disciplines and interfaces: g. Mechanical,
    Electrical, Public Health, Fire, comms.
  • Primavera experience, user as well as Admin functions
  • Full MS Office advanced skills inc. Visio
  • MS Project or other planning software desirable
  • Familiarity with NEC Conditions of Contract
  • Testing & Commissioning process mapping
  • Knowledge of the methods of MEP
  • Primavera experience, user as well as Admin function

  • Degree level or equivalent
  • Understanding of Rail Station Systems
  • Appreciation of MEP interfaces with building fit-out and envelope.
