Mentoring Co-ordinator (25 Hours)

As the Mentoring Co-ordinator you will ensure individuals in the community receive comprehensive trauma-informed mentoring support to aid the resettlement, reintegration and reduction in re-offending through trauma responsive change solutions.

This will be achieved through:

• Tailored mentoring: Delivering Person Centred, trauma responsive 1:1 support to people on Probation
• Assessing the individual needs enabling you to have motivational discussions to create an action plan
• Removing short-term barriers and supporting long-term change signposting to external organisations within the local community
• Advocate on behalf of individuals on Probation to ensure their needs are recognised and met, liaising with other professionals and agencies as required

The Mentoring Co-ordinator will be responsible for supporting People on Probation carrying a caseload of service users and supporting achievement of their needs.

About You:

To be successful in this role you will understand working with vulnerable adults in a challenging environment. You will also have excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a demanding workload. You will have the skills to contribute to planning and to the development of service users' success, and also have knowledge of safeguarding/child protection practice. In addition, you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work and build partnerships with a range of agencies.
