We now have an exciting opportunity for Meeting and Events Office Manager to join our Events Department.
As a Meeting and Events Office Manager, you will be required to master the art of versatility and inject some energy whilst completing a variety of duties. The main duties expected within the role are:
- Assist the Commercial Director to maximise the conference and events revenue and profit through proactive methods such as upselling, price strategy, board spotting and function diary management to achieve budget.
- Effective Management of the meetings and events department to ensure targets are exceeded, processes are followed, training and development is carried out and communication is fluid with all departments within the hotel
- Actively find ways to upsell through all areas of the business, matching a product to the guest that will increase revenue across our portfolio
- Ensure all customer communication is responded to in a timely manner and events inbox is cleared down to an acceptable level at the end of each business day
- Assist the Commercial Director with forecasting meeting & events, ensuring relevant audits are carried out to ensure accurate data to analyse and forecast from
- Lead the team on a day to day basis, identifying areas to focus on and improve and recognise outstanding performance
- Conduct team reviews in line with company standards
- Represent the department and be the figure head that works with HOD's across the portfolio to deliver the guest experience and increase return business
- Identify areas for own development and work with the Commercial Director to realise your own personal goals
- Adopt all areas of revenue management philosophy and ensure this is fed through to the team
- Build relationships with peers across the city to maintain profile of our brand with other venues in the area
- Be responsible for the Amadeus Delphi system to ensure data quality, working with support teams where necessary to keep the system up to date and accurate
- Maintain a demand calendar that reflects each business, keeping a regular check on competitor pricing to ensure we are pitching for business to win every booking
- Quality of function sheets to be 100% accurate before leaving the office
- Ensure the showround process is detailed, accurate and targeted to ensure maximum conversion of enquiries
- Train and develop the team to ensure service delivery and M&E knowledge is always being improved
