Introduction

As media continues to accelerate in an increasingly complex digital ecosystem, the requirement for technology-enabled solutions and holistic measurement continues to grow. Dentsu's Performance Technology team act as the centre of excellence for performance data & technology within Dentsu's Media Line and consists of disciplines including Media Technology, Web Analytics, Dynamic Creative and Feed Management.

Due to rapid growth of our Media Tech capability, we're looking for an experienced Social specialist to support our Social clients, connect digital paid media channels, oversee feature implementation and advise on maturity.

This is a diverse role where you will need to flex big picture thinking with technical expertise. As such, a breath of understanding of the digital landscape is required. We are looking for someone who is a channel or technology expert, with demonstrable experience of taking proactive solutions to clients and getting buy-in. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Search Ads 360.

Role Purpose

The role is consultative, with the goal to drive tech maturity for our clients and help brands answer critical questions around paid search media effectiveness and the privacy landscape. You'll be the go-to advisor on Paid Search maturity, measurement and technology.

You will need to deliver flawless account management, be autonomous in your approach to workload and prioritization, and show real dynamism in your approach to self-learning and development as you keep up to date with industry updates. You will be comfortable having an informed opinion on the latest landscape changes, and positioning yourself as an expert, contributing to thought leadership and consultancy projects. You'll be a trusted, knowledgeable source of information on developments in search marketing for both our clients and internal teams.

Areas of Responsibility and Accountability

  • Develop strong client relationships and become a trusted partner to our clients, as the key search contact.
  • General account management. Run the day to day relationships with both existing and potential clients, guiding the development of their accounts.
  • Build and deliver tech maturity roadmaps, helping clients implement integrated solutions and evolve their strategy in a changing landscape. Ensure you understand your client's long term business objectives and align roadmap to contribute to their overarching goals.
  • Guide clients on the optimal setup and integration of media technology. Support with implementation to ensure a smooth onboarding.
  • Be an expert across key Search Media Tech / Platforms, ensuring you stay familiar with capabilities and inner workings of the tools. Be able to confidently demo platforms, train others and troubleshoot issues.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of where the search industry is heading and who emerging new players are. Actively engage in self-development and training.
  • Educate our clients on best practice and ensure they are supported at all times.
  • Be able to outline and match up new opportunities with the appropriate solution.
  • Lead and build required key client communications and deliverables eg. training sessions, case studies and QBRs.
  • Work with Media Tech leadership team to provide consultancy to your clients on critical questions around the future of measurement and privacy.
  • Be comfortable leading workshops or pitching proposals to senior leaders and mentoring internal members of the team.
  • Keep clients aware of the latest industry news that will impact their business and consult on any actions that should be taken to capture opportunities and mitigate risk. Have an informed opinion on the situation and tailor advice to client's specific circumstances.
  • Where working with inhouse brands, look to educate and drive self-sufficiency across their media tech stack.
  • Create training guides, best-practise one-sheeters and process documents.

Experience & Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience in paid search/PPC advertising or digital media / ad tech function.
  • 2 years experience managing accounts and owning relationships.
  • Extensive experience using the native Paid Search management platforms (Google Ads, Bing, etc.) as well as 3rd party platforms, such as SA360/Marin/Kenshoo/Skai.
  • Hands on experience of Google Marketing Platform (SA360) preferred.
  • Demonstrate a passion for Digital Marketing and Media Technology. A real desire to keep abreast of industry news and key partner updates.
  • Strong client-facing skills: understanding client needs, maintaining relationships, building partnerships.
  • Working knowledge of digital attribution approaches used to optimise search campaigns. Experience with tracking solutions such as GA360 or Adobe Analytics is beneficial.
  • An understanding of how search can integrate with other digital and offline channels.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment across multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Ability to think strategically and critically, flexing between big-picture and technical implementation.
  • Have the gravitas to influence clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft apps, including strong skills on Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
