We're hiring for a Media Strategy Director as part of Global Carat in London

Purpose of the Role

To support the Senior Strategy Partner on the client to develop brilliant solutions for a key client in the agency with and elevate the role of comms and media in the business agenda. Additionally, this role would also work as a 'bridge' between group and market teams across client and Carat organisations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Helping develop responses & guidance to strategic briefs from global clients to ensure best in class thinking & global consistency.
  • Forging strong relationships with global clients, understanding the key issues facing their business.
  • Ensuring deep consumer understanding as a starting point for all brief responses.
  • Enabling / delivering client's brand ambitions through deeper human insights, better communication design & more effective implementation.
  • Being vocal and collaborative with clients (having an informed opinion), driving thought pieces on the changing landscape and the role of Carat within an integrated communication mix.
  • Developing recommendations on market clustering and portfolio prioritization based on existing planning framework and improving / enhancing it where needed.
  • Leveraging econometrics, business analytics and past campaign / competitive learnings to develop, refine and deliver media implementation guidelines.
  • Driving excellent and appropriate use of insights & planning tools on client briefs to drive business outcome focussed planning across media ecosystem.
  • Developing of creative ideas, media partnerships and innovations based on the communications strategy, and working with various Dentsu specialisms & teams.
  • Building a strong relationship with key clients / stakeholders, ensuring good TRR scores.

Qualifications + Skills

  • 10+ Years experience within Media with deep knowledge of media and communications planning tools and processes.
  • Experience developing marketing and communications strategies for multi market clients, with a proven ability to marshal multiple countries behind your strategies, driving consistency with local nuances.
  • Excellent ability and proven track record of working with clients at a senior level to advise on the strategic direction of their communications and its ability to deliver business value.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across companies, cultures, and countries to drive your agenda through influence.
  • Strong skills in persuasion and selling of your ideas and strategies to new and existing clients.
  • Skilled in mentoring and developing individuals from a wide variety of disciplines, culture, and backgrounds.
  • Strong understanding of the role of media in delivering business value for modern brands
  • Cultural awareness, analytical skills, and relentless curiosity
  • Deep working knowledge of insight & planning tools and a proven ability to bring insights to bear to develop communications strategies.
  • Strong understanding of multiple sources for market, consumer, and media intelligence
  • Proven record in identification and development of insights, measurement, and evaluation projects
