The role
This role will work across a portfolio of channels/service brands and will provide support for the Media Planning Executives responsible for producing, implementing & driving forward multi-media promotional & navigational strategy.
Main responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and set-up of linear promotional campaigns for ITV programmes, products and services
- Daily publishing of linear transmission schedules, working closely with channel operations
- Writing continuity pointers for ITV announcers, to drive viewing through promotional and navigational on air activity
- Integral in navigating viewers and maintaining audiences to a channel or channel group
- Liaising between various departments (presentation, creative, channel, marketing , sales ) to ensure that all required administration is completed and that all required promotional assets are secured in an appropriate and timely manner
- Provide audience , campaign and inventory analysis through effective use of industry audience research data systems
- Provide support for the Media Planning Executives in delivering campaign targets in line with marketing prioritisation
- To source and update reports that track our use of promotional airtime
- Operational Continuity Duties include: entering transmission date & title information, scheduling of continuity items; generating menus, end credit promotions and on screen promotional assets of appropriate duration in liaison with Production; allocation of generic voice over material; point of contact for Compliance (eg warning announcements); point of contact for Production companies re end credit delivery dispensation.
Skills you'll need (minimum criteria)
- Evidence of interest in the broadcast/media/advertising industry through relevant work or work experience
- Experience in campaign planning, scheduling, or content coordination
- High level of competence at Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent)
- Highly numerate
- Proven experience working with large datasets or audience data, ideally within a media, or planning context.
- Ability to create reports that are insightful and relevant
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as evidenced by roles involving stakeholder liaison or client servicing.
