Media Innovation Assistant - Entry Level Developer

Media Innovation Assistant is an entry-level role, so no professional technical experience is required, and all relevant training will be provided as part of the position. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, creative environment for anyone wanting to start a career as a developer.

The assistant supports specialist delivery teams with the implementation of technical work including tasks such as writing and maintaining scripts, building reporting dashboards, and collaborating with the development team to build and maintain digital tools and applications.

The role is diverse and requires the individual to efficiently prioritise and manage multiple work streams, work both individually and within a team, effectively communicate, and have an ability to continuously self-educate in this dynamic digital marketing space.

Media Innovation Assistant - Entry Level Developer

Job Description:

  • Participating in training in Python and/or JavaScript, and how to use these languages to automate facets of media account management
  • Supporting wider media innovation teams, working with clients and other team members to spot opportunities for projects - this could be anything from enhancing audience data with additional data points to writing an automation script to turn on media campaigns based on weather triggers.
  • Support the facilitation of across digital channel hackathon and discovery sessions to understand the problems digital teams are facing that could be resolved by automation and technical solutions.
  • In conjunction with Media Innovation leads, for dedicated client teams or assigned projects, execute the build of a solution, while ensuring:
  • Adequate documentation is written
  • Communication is smooth between all necessary stakeholders
  • Errors are handled effectively
  • Code is thoroughly tested before handing over the tool
  • Security is considered throughout
  • Researching the best way to build a solution, considering timelines, costs, ease of use, etc/
  • Consistently communicating updates and ideas to client teams, platform representatives, and any other stakeholders involved in your project work, facilitating smooth communication and collaboration among stakeholders to ensure project success.

Skills Professional

  • Great communication skills and ability to communicate complex ideas
  • Strong attention to detail and highly organized
  • Ability to self-manage, working as part of the wider team
  • Adept at problem spotting and solving
  • Any knowledge of Performance Marketing e.g. Paid Social, Paid Search, Organic Search, Programmatic (desired)
  • A passion for automation and coding, with a desire to learn more in this area
  • Basic knowledge of coding with JavaScript, Python, or other similar language (desired)
