M&E Design Manager

Bouygues UK are looking for a motivated and driven M&E Design Manager with a proven ability in M&E design management. You would be working on 2 School projects valued at £40 Million and £50 million in the Hayes and Harrow area. Your involvement will include pre-construction and production, so the role offers the full gamut of a project from cradle to grave.

You should have good project management skills to implement our processes and ensure robust management of the design information.

Essential criteria:

  • Experienced in School schemes ideally or Commercial
  • RIBA experience
  • Proven M&E design ability in design management from early stages of design
  • Motivated and driven with a problem solving mindset
  • Experience of working within a preconstruction & on site production teams from an M&E perspective
  • Good project management (of the design) skills
  • Ability to adopt Bouygues UK robust design management processes
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong IT abilities
  • Commercial awareness
  • Experience of working for a Tier 1 design and build contractor

Job Purpose and Scope:

Initially you would be engaged within our preconstruction team managing the design process.Your responsibility would progress through all the stages of design and then work directly with the on site production team. This will be related to the complexity of the scheme and the expertise of the chosen candidate.

You will possess an excellent understanding of the application of design management, BIM and document control processes to ensure the highest quality of design aligned with the programme. You will be expected to develop a deep understanding of all Bouygues design and information management processes from the outset.
