Description
We're looking for a Mass Participation Product Manager to lead the delivery and growth of our owned events portfolio, including our flagship Walk of Light and Walk the World campaigns, while shaping new and exciting supporter experiences.
Working in our Mass Participation team, you'll play a key role in managing end-to-end campaigns, developing innovative new products, and helping us grow income and supporter engagement across the UK.
You'll bring experience in mass participation events, strong project and budget management skills, and a collaborative, innovative mindset. You'll also be passionate about building excellent supporter journeys and using data to drive decisions and improve performance.
You'll be working with talented colleagues, agencies, and supporters, driving forward a bold fundraising strategy, and changing lives for people affected by blood cancer.
Expected travel for this role is: Whilst there are no fixed number of days per week required to attend the office, the successful candidate will be required to travel to meet internal and external stakeholders, attend monthly and quarterly team days in the London office and travel nationally to away days and fundraising events.

Key Responsibilities
- To project manage and deliver Blood Cancer UK's owned events and products portfolio including planning, marketing, delivery and evaluation.
- To build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver projects to success including working with agencies to deliver successful campaigns. To provide support to the Mass Participation Lead and contribute to the continued development of the Mass Participation team strategy.
- To be responsible for monitoring and managing team income and expenditure budgets, and highlighting variances to the Mass Participation Lead.
- To take accountability for regularly reviewing processes, recommending change, adapting activity, and implementing mitigation plans as needed
- Oversee process development and ensure all supporters receive an outstanding supporter journey which recruits, converts, retains, and develops participants to deliver income growth and long-term support for the charity, whilst testing and learning with new technologies (e.g. WhatsApp messaging and leveraging AI)
- To share best practice around product development and innovation, across the organisation to support with upskilling other individuals and teams in this area
- To champion and implement ED&I and sustainability initiatives across all mass participation events.
- To be proactive in keeping up to date with industry trends and changes both within mass participation events as well as the wider fundraising sector.
- Supervise staff and/or volunteers to ensure appropriate training and high performance.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Knowledge
- Understanding of budget management
- Knowledge of planning and monitoring digital marketing campaigns with a broad knowledge of appropriate and effective marketing for events
Skills
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining a high standard and an attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively and build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to foster team spirit and achievement of shared goals to achieve the best results
- Experience of managing relationships with agencies and external suppliers, and possessing the ability to manage and influence external partners
- Confident using data and insight to improve performance and make decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and convey complex conceptual ideas and information to a variety of audiences using a range of formats
