Become part of a dedicated group of Product Managers within the Markets business that are committed to delivering better ways of working for our customers. Be a Product Manager committed to understanding customer needs with your advanced knowledge of the Markets business, product development, process re-engineering, artificial intelligence/machine learning, design, delivery and data analytics.

As a Markets - Unity Product Manager - Vice President in Operations you will lead the end-to-end product life cycle having a strong commitment to scalability, resiliency, and stability, collaborating and partnering closely with other product managers, DXD, technology & data science leads to translate the customer's needs plus the products vision.

Job responsibilities

  • Develops a product strategy and product vision that delivers value to customers
  • Ensures a deep understanding of the user journey and advocates customer needs to the broader cross functional team
  • Defines and tracks Objectives and Key Results (OKRS) to focus the teams on outcomes and value realisation
  • Takes ownership of a product from a release-oriented perspective, provides product leadership to the broader team through setting priorities and vision for planning & execution
  • Captures and refines user stories with technology, DXD and data science and prioritize based on the value and cost of each story while partnering closely with technology to devise strategies and product roadmap
  • Owns, maintains, and develops a product backlog that enables development to support the overall strategic roadmap and value proposition
  • Communicates and engages with all stakeholders and ensure that all issues and risks are identified and escalated; manages stakeholder relationships and conduct regular Business Working Groups (BWGs) and Design Working Groups (DWG) with Technology Project Managers
  • Partners with Data Science on the application of Artificial Intelligence and the provision of data for machine learning
  • Builds the framework and tracks the product's key success metrics such as cost, feature and functionality, risk posture, and reliability
  • Drives common features by collaborating with other product managers, cross-functional teams to gain insights and ensure alignment with business goals
  • Builds an effective demand pipeline by understanding customer's needs, conducting research and collaborating with stakeholders and partners

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Previous experience or equivalent expertise in product management within Investment banking
  • Experience working in agile teams with UX designers & technologists
  • Advanced knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
  • Inquisitive and motivated to solve business problems for users & clients in creative ways
  • Confident to question business and technology requirements and solutions respectively
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills and work in a collaborative team environment
  • Logical and structured approach to planning, analysis and decision-making
  • Organised and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Experience of using JIRA and MS Office
  • Requirements analysis, elaboration and documentation skills
  • Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions
