About the role:

The Marketing Manager is responsible for contributing to driving organic growth through multi-channel marketing programmes through both direct and indirect marketing. With a strong focus on digital activity, you will build our online lead enquiry funnel as well as work collaboratively with our Business Development and Financial Planning team to develop wider marketing campaigns that deliver growth through other channels.

As the role requires collaborative working as part of a busy team, the successful candidate will need to be based at our Cheltenham office a minimum of 2 days per week, with the option to work remotely the remaining days. About you:

You are an experienced Marketing Manager and may have worked in professional services industries previously, ideally within Financial Services. You have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing and are able to build strong professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

You will be extremely organised and able to manage multi projects simultaneously, delivering on budget and within completed within agreed timescales. You are commercially minded, able to driver return on investment across campaigns.

You are experienced in digital marketing, SEO and google advertising and thrive in a busy, fast paced environment.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work with the HOM and wider marketing and Business Develop teams to design, develop and deliver organic growth marketing programmes across multiple channels.
  • Develop digital marketing strategies through paid Google and social media advertising, third party lead purchase and other direct marketing routes to deliver marketing qualified leads.
  • Develop partnership and introducer marketing plans working collaboratively with our Business Development team and Financial planners.
  • Develop and deliver marketing tools that help Financial Planners in their day-to-day client activities to aid with cross sell, upsell, and maximise the full potential of the Attivo offering.
  • Develop sponsorship and new client events working collaboratively with the Communications Manager to ensure all Attivo sponsorships and events serve to develop new clients as well as build relationships with existing ones.
  • Using a new CRM system (Hubspot) build a lead funnel to track leads from enquiry through to the client relationship team for qualification and handover to a financial planner for conversion.
  • Build a prospect marketing database to enable automated outreach marketing from data capture initiatives built in the lead gen programmes.
  • Build a lead nurture path to nurture cold to warm leads through enquiry by reengaging with them over a period.
  • Conduct competitive reviews and market analysis that builds insight to inform campaign strategies and plans.
  • Build test marketing approaches that enables us to learn and inform further activity.
  • Support the budgeting exercise building lead and sales forecasts based on marketing investment and reports to demonstrate ROI.
  • Build our review strategy to appeal to new customers overseeing and setting plans for the use of VouchedFor, Trustpilot, Google reviews, Glassdoor and any other review sites deemed appropriate.
  • Oversee the development, maintenance and performance of the Attivo website to maximise its potential for enquiry and presenting our proposition to the market place.
  • Oversee the development and delivery of Attivo Life content platform through digital channels for new clients.
  • Build and present a marketing dashboard to report weekly and monthly on marketing performance working with the HOM and Communications Manager
  • Day to day manage agency relationships ensuring partners are well briefed and budget is spent appropriately within limits to execute the marketing initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively across the team with the Marketing Manager and Marketing Executives to implement marketing initiatives through other channels.
  • Build supportive and collaborative relationships with all wider Attivo departments to ensure effective execution of marketing programmes.
  • Ensure that all that all activities comply with regulatory compliance requirements and follow the Financial Promotion requirements laid out by the FCA.
  • Through all of the above line manage and oversee the performance of our Digital Marketing Executive to support in all digital activity.

Essential skills and experience

  • At least 5 years marketing experience in a service industry ideally Financial Services
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with professional copywriting ability
  • Experience in building multi-channel lead generating marketing programmes digitally and though traditional channels like events, sponsorships and direct mail
  • Performance managed digital marketing campaigns
  • Experience in Google and social media advertising and SEO
  • Sophisticated email marketing experience using email marketing and CRM systems
  • Client journey mapping and build
  • Experience working collaboratively with sales and business development teams.
  • Budget management
  • Marketing agency and supplier management experience
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills
  • Creative thinker able to come up with fresh and innovative ideas
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels
  • Results-driven with a motivation to see initiatives through to completion and report with MI

Desirable skills and experience

  • CIM or other professional marketing qualifications
  • Marketing related degree
  • Hubspot experience or certified or other CRM system management
  • Google analytics/specific digital training certificates
  • Line management experience of marketing executive level

Salary and benefits

up to £50,000 depending on experience
