The Marketing Manager Bourbon & Portfolio Brands is responsible for the creation and delivery of the UK Strategy for brands including Makers Mark, Jim Beam and other portfolio brands. The role is responsible for managing the execution of the plans through the Bourbon & Portfolio Brands brand marketing team and ambassadors for the UK.

The Marketing Manager will lead the UK strategy, marketing plans and future development of the Scotch Malts portfolio. They will own the commercial and activation delivery of the brands as well as being the custodian of the brand equities in the UK. The role will have a huge influence in London - home to some of the world's most influential consumers and customers.

As a key brand leader within the UK business, the Marketing Manager must be able to inspire teams across the business and build confidence behind brand ambition and plans.

Role Responsibilities

  • Champion and lead the UK Bourbon & Portfolio Brands strategy, growth and future development.
  • Support the brand strategy development, leading execution and evaluation.
  • Own the commercial delivery of Bourbon & Portfolio Brands
  • Set a clear vision and compelling plan for all aspects of the consumer recruitment and prestige plans
  • Nurture collaborative working relationships with the Global Team, ensuring the UK has a key influence, input and role in Global strategy
  • Custodian of the Brand DNA in the UK, asset provision and consumer / brand health
  • Creation and delivery of world class, insight and evaluation driven, brand plans focused on profitably driving value market share and delivering the budget, with a particular emphasis on excellent luxury execution and London
  • Performance management and strong ROI measurement for all investment
  • Be the Brand Expert and inspire teams across the business - build brand love internally and externally.
  • Display strong leadership behaviour and manage/coach direct reports for high performance.
  • Lead and deliver seasonal marketing activation planning process for Bourbon & Portfolio Brands to ensure our plans are delivered within our customer planning cycles and operational needs, while ensuring our shareholder and agencies are held accountable to deliver within these time frames

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years leadership/managerial experience in FMCG, Spirits/Drinks industry preferred Well-developed leadership & coaching with proven team leadership and management experience
  • Strong knowledge of luxury brand building with experience in working on premium /prestige brands
  • Experience in leading teams
  • Demonstrable and developed commercial acumen with an understanding of managing a P&L
