This position is a hybrid role based in OES' Birmingham office (2-3 days per week).

As Marketing Manager, you'll be at the forefront of achieving leads, enrolment funnel conversion and student enrolment targets for our partner universities. You'll work collaboratively with the Marketing and Student Recruitment team, as well as our creative advertising agencies.

You'll oversee the planning, development optimisation and execution of the marketing and advertising initiatives with the mission to grow brand awareness, increase customer engagement, generate leads and drive revenue growth through strategically crafted campaigns.

Leading a cross-functional team and reporting to the Marketing and Student Recruitment Director, you'll be a driving force behind achieving the business objectives whilst working closely with the sales team and other key departments to ensure a unified and integrated approach to customer satisfaction.

Requirements

As Marketing Manager at OES, you will;

  • Achieve marketing qualified lead (MQL) and conversion targets across key marketing channels and all stages of the enrolment funnel.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies focused on driving student recruitment for partner universities' online undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with university partners, ensuring OES creates a 'halo effect' for the institutional brand - maximising reach and brand recognition and raising the university profile to grow enrolment.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities and challenges within the education sector and understand the needs and behaviour of the target audience.
  • Analyse campaign performance and student recruitment data, providing actionable insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee the development and distribution of compelling content that aligns with the marketing strategy and engages potential students.
  • Manage and lead a cross-functional marketing team to execute campaigns across multiple channels, such as digital advertising, social media, email marketing, and digital events.
  • Manage marketing budgets, ensuring ROI and other key performance indicators are met.
  • Be the guardian for our partners' brands, ensure all marketing materials meet legal and brand guidelines, and seek approvals where required.
  • Stay current with industry trends and technologies to ensure the marketing strategy remains innovative and effective.
  • Serve as the key liaison between OES and its advertising partners for all matters related to marketing, reporting, and student recruitment to ensure the effective execution of strategy.
  • Work with the Director of Marketing and Student Recruitment to define long and short-term growth objectives for awareness, consideration and acquisition.
  • Manage the delivery of each campaign to ensure it launches on time and within budget by liaising with agencies and other internal teams, e.g., sales, marketing automation, digital, etc.

Skills and Experience required;

  • You'll have previous experience in a similar role, either client-side or agency.
  • You will have experience in managing content creation for end-to-end user journeys.
  • Strong project management experience is essential
  • You have previous experience working to (MQL) goals alongside cost per lead/cost per sale (enrolment) targets.
  • You'll have experience working with paid media (Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc.)
  • You'll have experience in analytics and interpreting data and insights to drive strategy.
  • A good understanding of building value with consumers (students), consumer psychology and customer acquisition is key.
  • Experience with briefs for multi-channel media plans and creative projects.
  • You'll have strong commercial and strategic thinking skills
  • You'll have excellent internal and external stakeholder management.
