This role sits within our Connected Front Office capability, which brings together expertise in Sales, Marketing, Service and Experience Design to transform the way businesses interact and engage with their customers. We help our clients connect with their customers on multiple levels and channels by embedding awareness of and benefit to the customer in every aspect of the business.

Description of Role:

KPMG is seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Marketing Transformation Lead to join our elite team. You will be a key leader in shaping and driving our marketing transformation practice, leading a team of consultants, and delivering impactful change for our clients. This role will focus on marketing enablement, empowering our clients to leverage technology and best practices to optimize their marketing operations and achieve their business goals

In this client facing role, you will use our pre-built assets, robust methodology and technology alliances to enable greater speed to value for our clients and support us in generating a higher margin, longer term revenue stream for KPMG. Senior Managers have a commercial focus to their role which involves building relationships internally as well as with our key target clients to identify and shape future opportunities

Whilst we anticipate continuing to work in a hybrid model, sharing working days between the KPMG office and home, this role may require travelling within the UK or abroad to meet specific client demands.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and shape the marketing transformation practice: Develop and execute the strategic vision for KPMG's marketing transformation practice, ensuring alignment with the firm's overall goals and market trends.
  • Client engagement and relationship management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted advisor and thought leader on marketing transformation and enablement.
  • Team leadership and development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of high-performing marketing transformation consultants, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and knowledge sharing.
  • Project management and delivery: Oversee the successful delivery of complex marketing transformation projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality outcomes.
  • Marketing enablement thought leadership: Serve as a recognized expert in marketing enablement, providing strategic guidance on process optimization, technology adoption, data management, and content creation.
  • Technology innovation: Deep understanding of the latest marketing technology landscape, including marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and emerging technologies. Ability to guide clients in selecting, implementing, and integrating these tools to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Data-driven decision making: Lead the development and implementation of data-driven marketing strategies, leveraging analytics to identify opportunities for improvement, measure the impact of initiatives, and demonstrate ROI.
  • Content strategy and execution: Collaborate with clients to develop and execute compelling content strategies, including marketing materials, website content, and social media campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall business goals.
  • Change management and stakeholder engagement: Facilitate the adoption of new processes and technologies, ensuring smooth transitions and securing buy-in from all stakeholders.
  • Business development and growth: Contribute to business development efforts by identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and delivering exceptional service.
  • Thought leadership and industry influence: Develop and share insights and perspectives on marketing enablement through articles, presentations, and other channels, establishing KPMG as a leading voice in the field.
  • Manage teams to bid, win and deliver customer-centric digital transformation engagements of significant size and scope.
  • Build new and maintain client relationships to generate longer-term revenue for the team.
  • Be seen as a strategic partner to clients to help generate value through their front-office investments, with a clear performance focus and value creation.
  • Develop a projects' business case and benefits tracking.
  • Support the Customer leadership team together with Consulting Market Leaders to build and action Go-To-Market plans within their industry, focussed on target clients.

The Person:

The ideal candidate is likely to have a blend of the following skills and experience:

  • Marketing and e-commerce expertise with the ability to leverage leading practice to turn customer data into actionable strategies and optimise customer engagement
  • Drive omni-channel performance and ROI throughout clients marketing organisations to achieve sustainable profit and growth
  • Work collaboratively with senior clients to enhance their marketing and media operating models, technology platforms, use of AI and consumer data, analytics and content
  • Support long--term commercial growth across channels and create innovative and future-focussed end-to-end ecommerce strategies
  • Experienced in B2B and D2C sales and marketing, with the ability to deliver strategic solutions across industries
  • End-to-end front-office functional transformation programmes, ideally underpinned by experience design, marketing, sales or service methodologies.
  • Identifying new business opportunities and leading bid teams to win revenue for a business.
  • Senior level stakeholder engagement and management, including maintaining client relationships.
  • Ability to articulate the value of the customer centric business functions to a non-technical audience.
  • Experience leading workstreams and associated deliverables for internal or external clients.
