Set up: Hybrid working, in the studio 3 days per week, 2 days remote per week

Your role:

We create transformative brands that move businesses, people, and the world forward. Our marketing team ensure we stand out amongst our competitors, have a compelling presence, messaging and content programme to attract clients and talent, and ensure we're the first port of call for the most interesting brand opportunities in the marketplace.

Reporting into the CEO, your role will be to execute the strategic marketing plan in line with our business goals, bringing a clear point of view that advances our agenda beliefs and standards.

You are responsible for:

Overall

  • Be accountable for executing the current Marketing plan, leading the team (Senior Marketing Manager, Marketing Executive, In-house Content Designer) to work efficiently, measure and track our results across our UK and US markets
  • Direct the marketing team's efforts and be responsible for the team's learning, development and ongoing feedback
  • Direct and measure our external PR agency's efforts across launches, content creation, profile raising and reputation building online and offline
  • Ensure our brand is compelling and coherent across all of our activities, channels and touchpoints
  • Work in alignment with our new business team (responsible for proactive, reactive and organic business development) to ensure our marketing activities are in support of the growth strategy
  • Execute and track on the annual CEO profile and reputation plan
  • Track and oversee annual marketing budget

Client launches, case studies and awards

  • Make recommendations on the client launches, case studies and award submissions pipeline to advance with accompanying delivery plans
  • Work with clients, and PR agency as applicable, on launch planning, ensuring Wolff Olins' contribution is accurately reflected and expressed loudly in the marketplace in ways that support our business goals
  • Work with clients and our teams to produce timely high quality case studies that sell our work in pitch situations, sit on our website to attract both clients and talent, and marketed across our channels
  • Be the final copywriter on all case studies and award submissions, helping to engage and effectively convert into wins

Presence building and PR

  • Direct and manage the ongoing relationship with our external PR agency across our key regions
  • Assess all proactive and reactive press opportunities in line with Marketing strategy and Growth objectives
  • Ensure content submissions are written and presented to the highest quality and reflective of Wolff Olins' offer and culture
  • Arrange briefings and support on content development for press opportunities directly with our Wolff Olins spokespeople
  • Drive coverage and continued engagement across our target media list

Speaking and attending events

  • Support current event strategy, including management and promotion of Wolff Olins' own events
  • Develop content approach for pitching and booked speaker slots with the team, oversee execution and content is of the highest quality to ensure best positioning and engagement with wider industry and prospects

Content and thought leadership

  • Work with key individuals to develop specific content, including recommending angles, writing and editing content output that is proactively planned on the Thought Leadership pipeline or reactively created in response to a press opportunity
  • Ensure the content is positioned for engagement with target audiences in line with Marketing strategy and Growth objectives

Requirements

You will:

You will come from a creative marketing and communications background or client-side in a global role, where you will have demonstrated that you can direct and execute a marketing strategy with a clear understanding of how the Creative Trade operates.

We're looking for someone to cover our Marketing Director who will be on Maternity Leave; someone who has strong copywriting skills, a keen eye for detail and a sharp focus in delivering content and activities on strategy.
