About your role

The Marketing and Communications Manager is a newly created role at Sayer Vincent which will report to the Chief Operating Officer, forming part of a wider operational support team consisting of Client Services, HR, Change, Facilities, and Finance.

Working alongside external consultants in the areas of design, social media marketing and external comms, you will head up a small existing team that look after marketing and comms for the firm. You will be in a unique position to align the company's branding and messaging to really drive home Sayer Vincent's pre-eminent role in the Charity Audit sector, while also developing initiatives that build engagement with our own team, including our "tone of voice" and style guide.

You will have overall responsibility for operational running of the Marketing & Comms department, including; budget management, people management, third party suppliers & stakeholders management.

Marketing

  • Define, implement, and evaluate Sayer Vincent's marketing strategy, including public relations. Ensuring the strategy is in line with the Company objectives and values.
  • Support the Marketing Coordinator with the planning and creation of social media posts across LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Oversee the Marketing Coordinator's design of content for various external channels, including Sayer Vincent's website, email marketing, and other digital platforms.
  • Create and implement a website strategy, continually reviewing to ensure positive performance and updating where necessary.
  • Take the lead on new business enquiries processes and reporting.
  • Analyse the market to ensure Sayer Vincent remains competitive and up to date with industry trends.

Communications

Internal Communications

  • Define and oversee the annual comms plan and strategy, reviewing content created by the Marketing Coordinator for internal events and campaigns.
  • Improve engagement among the internal team showcasing upcoming events and positive initiatives in place at Sayer Vincent.
  • Collaborate with the People team to create and circulate informative updates on benefits, policies, and opportunities across the firm.
  • Push communications and lead on initiatives to promote and reinforce Sayer Vincent's values firm wide.
  • Oversee the definition and alignment of a brand voice for Sayer Vincent - both internally and externally. Intranet strategy and ownership, including consistency of tone, message, and priorities.
  • Sayer Vincent is currently going through a period of major transformational change from both a systems and structure point of view. You will work with the project teams to help communicate these changes in a clear, concise, and empowering way that creates buy in and support across all levels of the business.
  • Work with other managers in the firm to create communication strategies (for example for recruitment and change)
  • Have ownership of a rolling annual comms plan for internal team, threading together strategy, tactical initiatives, and people, as well as connections to our clients and strategic goals.

External Communications

  • Develop and introduce a firm wide external communication strategy.
  • Support the Marketing Coordinator to create engaging and attractive content, always incorporating the brand voice and values.
  • Ensure the brand voice and values are reflected in all communications to attract prospective customers and retain existing ones.
  • Introduce the external communication strategy and actively encourage the use of this firm wide.
  • Consistently analyse the external communication strategy, making and implementing improvements where necessary.

Skills

  • Ability to build strong and productive working relationships with the Sayer Vincent Team and external stakeholders.
  • Good presentation skills and ability to build rapport easily.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy with pride in the job at hand.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to take on an 'end to end' role, doing what needs to be done.
  • Excellent IT skills, including use of the internet, databases, and MS Office (particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to demonstrate organisational and business awareness.

Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • Experience using various social media, and professional networks.
  • Knowledge of content management systems.
  • Successful experience in developing and implementing a marketing and communications strategy.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Desirable

  • People management experience
  • Event experience
  • Experience working within a partnership/LLP structure.
  • Experience of working in the accountancy and audit sector.
  • Project management skills.
  • A degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.

Salary - 47-50k DOE
