Marketing and Campaign Planning Manager, 12 month FTC

Reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, this role involves working with UK and global stakeholders, to create and deliver targeted external marketing campaigns that engage clients and build Kennedys market profile and reputation. The role will also oversee a busy marketing team that manages the production and promotion of our client facing content including the firm's flagship reports, client publications, email newsletters and other marketing literature.

The successful candidate will work and collaborate closely with the marketing and communications team (including Brand, Marketing & Communications Managers in APAC and US), senior stakeholders and partners across the international network, UK and international BD&M colleagues, Corporate & Public Affairs, and external suppliers and consultants.

The role will also include collaborating with key stakeholders across the firm who are responsible for leading some of our firmwide strategic priority programmes and campaigns internally and externally e.g. Responsible Business, including ESG and DE&I; our external client facing innovation campaigns and other key campaigns e.g. Dive In Festival, International Women's Day.

Team

Kennedys' Business Development & Marketing (BD&M) is over 70-strong and focusses on promoting Kennedys' services and supports the Firm's global growth ambition and our key clients and markets.

There are four distinct functions: Pursuits, Clients and Markets, Marketing Technology & Data, and Marketing & Communications, where this role sits.

The Marketing & Communications team in the UK encompasses the following sub-teams - brand and design, communications, digital, events, marketing campaigns and publications.

These functions support the BD&M community across five regions - APAC, EMEA, LATAM, UK and US. Our global team members are located across the UK, Dubai, Dublin, Hong Kong, Melbourne, Perth, Singapore, Sydney and the US.

Key responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Marketing and Communications to plan, design and oversee the implementation and delivery of external international and UK integrated marketing campaigns and programmes that generate interest and value for the firm's clients that helps to build our brand and our global reputation in the market.
  • Develop client-centric content marketing and thought leadership campaigns to support the business.
  • Support the Head of Marketing and Communications, and other key stakeholders across the firm, to deliver a series of firmwide global strategic projects, working with other Business Services teams and colleagues across the business.
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals to deliver marketing campaigns and activities that support the Firm's strategic priorities.
  • Lead the development and production of distinctive and impactful marketing content to support the campaigns that we run including client facing marketing materials, working in collaboration with brand, design, digital, communications and events.
  • Implement best practice and mechanisms to create production efficiencies and global touch points. Gain global buy in and ensure that production is managed at the most appropriate level of resource. Oversee the production and delivery process, define clear goals and measure and report on the effectiveness of each campaign.
  • Work closely with our Corporate & Public Affairs team who are responsible for undertaking the research and the development of the content for our thought leadership campaigns and key publications.
  • Work with Business Development to plan and execute targeted thought leadership and marketing campaigns for our clients.
  • Design creative and engaging ways of marketing the firm's content so Kennedys output is distinctive and impactful, collaborating with other specialist teams within our marketing and communications team e.g. brand and design, communications and digital.
  • Shape and drive the reporting and insights on the back of our campaigns, collaborating closely with our client development systems team.
  • Work with the Marketing Technology and Data team who are responsible for the platforms and technologies with Marketing and Communications to maintain and develop efficient and effective processes to support the function.

Required experience

  • Exceptional project management skills to lead, plan and design campaigns for different media, collaborating with other members of the marketing and communications and BD&M team.
  • Track record of developing and executing successful marketing, communications and thought leadership campaigns.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to drive marketing campaigns forward and to produce innovative ideas and new ways of doing things to help make a difference to the team and the business.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail required.
  • Experience of producing, adapting and curating content for different marketing channels to help us tell our stories in a clear, concise, engaging and impactful way.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal stakeholders, colleagues and external suppliers and consultants.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Analytical and innovative thinker. Intellectually curious and interested in what is going on outside and within our sector to help bring innovative ideas, fresh thinking and new opportunities to the business.
  • Effective team player, with strong leadership skills.
  • Experience of leading and managing large projects, with the ability to be able to deliver multiple projects at the same time.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, helping to support, develop, coach and inspire high performing teams across the business.
  • Able to operate in an agile and flexible way, with the ability to respond to changing demands in the business.
  • Be accountable for delivering successful campaigns and marketing activities on time, on budget, and in line with the overall campaign objectives and the objectives of the marketing and communications team.
  • Lead the measurement and reporting of our marketing and campaign performance, working with other BD teams.
