Marketing Analytics Manager (12 months Maternity Cover)

Bumble Inc. is seeking a Marketing Analytics Manager that will lead and work alongside a team of analysts and data scientists to partner with marketing stakeholders across user acquisition, brand marketing, CRM and commercial strategy to drive data driven decision-making and performance measurement.
You would ideally have a background in marketing analytics at either a dating, social, gaming or other relevant tech company, with proven experience of driving commercial impact through applying analytics to critical business problems.
You bring experience of working with complex sources of data and use that knowledge to partner with your marketing stakeholders to help them assess the effectiveness of their campaigns, spend allocation, as well as creative and content choices across a large variety of customer segments and markets.
You enjoy developing and leading a team of multi-skilled analysts to efficiently produce insights that inform decision-making. Passionate about continual improvement, both personally and for the team, you always look for feedback to strive for higher quality of deliverables.
You understand the high-level business model of the company and the primary drivers and output metrics to efficiently receive a stakeholder request, draft a project/insights brief and proactively ask for additional scope clarity where necessary.
Remaining laser-focused on the "so what" of the findings, and how the insights support business decisions you take an integrated perspective to analytics, considers all the potential drivers to a problem, reviewing existing knowledge and bringing in expertise for advice from other teams.
What you will do:
- Lead a team of talented marketing analysts; setting impactful priorities for the team with minimal guidance.
- Understand the martech landscape and be able to advise on best practices across data engineering, analytics engineering, data science, and reporting.
- Create an environment of utilising data for planning and execution, always keeping in mind alternative and creative solutions to performance measurement across a variety of channels, campaigns, and marketing initiatives.
- Guide on techniques and ways of working and build a culture of critical thinking, commercial acumen and disciplined execution in alignment with senior management.
- In partnership with your team and the lead marketing data scientist, provide a set of frameworks and best practices for experimentation, performance monitoring, budget allocation, and outcome reporting across all marketing channels and workstreams.
- Oversee team performance, ensuring that all work produced by the marketing analytics team is of a high quality, produced in a timely manner and is actionable.
- Grow and mentor your team, energising and inspiring them, and raising the bar on talent and performance. Support senior leadership with hiring and retention initiatives.
- Provide insightful feedback on strengths, development needs and practical ways to develop to direct reports, mentees and peers.
- Act as a trusted thought partner as the analytical authority in your domain.

Who you are:
- Preference for a graduate degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Information Sciences, Economics, Finance, or STEM. PhD and Masters welcome.
- Preference for experience working in similar dating/social/gaming tech product industries or else financial services/high-data-volume industries.
- You will have had ample experience managing a distributed team of analysts and data scientists across the marketing domain.
- Experience in leading marketing analytics teams across both upper and lower funnel channels, understanding the nuances of attribution and measurement of marketing programmes holistically.
- You will have deep experience of the marketing domain across multiple channels, tools, and understand the tooling/vendor landscape and opportunities for automation or introduction of genAi.
- You will have had experience leading cross-functional teams of analysts with differing analytical capabilities, from more tactical analysis, analytics engineering, to data science and machine learning.
- You have experience working with complex data infrastructures and have experience partnering and guiding the work of data engineering to help facilitate ingestion, warehousing, and optimisation of databases.
- 3+ years experience in leading analytics teams, working in a fast paced environment.
- Experience providing thought leadership to business leaders: identifying issues and opportunities, translating business problems into analytical diagnoses and delivering insights that answer the most pressing questions. You will have partnered or presented at key publicly facing forums such as investor relations.
- Strong experience with marketing attribution, data collection, marketing channel tracking, and the data engineering and data modelling requirements needed to automate reporting and measurement.
