Salary: £50,818-£63,686 (dependent on skills and experience)
What you’ll be doing:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Manufacturing IT Specialist to join the Weapon Systems UK (WSUK) team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and supporting the Operational/Information Technology (OT/IT) systems for the manufacturing operations at the new WSUK facility in Sheffield. You will work closely with our production/office teams to ensure that our systems are running efficiently to support our manufacturing processes and engaging nominated WSUK support services as required.
- Manage and support all OT/IT systems specific to the manufacturing operations at the Sheffield site, engaging support services as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any OT/IT issues that arise in the manufacturing and office environments, ensuring minimal disruption to production and engaging support services when required.
- Collaborate with production/office teams to understand their OT/IT needs and requirements, and provide guidance and support on best practices for utilising OT/IT systems in the manufacturing process
- Monitor and maintain the security of our information and manufacturing operational technology to protect sensitive data and prevent any potential cyber threats
- Implement and manage software updates and patches for manufacturing and office systems, ensuring they are up to date and functioning properly
- Assist in the implementation of new OT/IT projects and initiatives to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity
- Facilitate the distribution of IT hardware/assets to the employees based at the Sheffield site
Your skills and experience:
Essential:
· Experience working in a manufacturing environment with knowledge of manufacturing software applications
· Strong technical skills and proficiency in OT/IT troubleshooting and problem-solving
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with both production and OT/IT professionals
· Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a newly created manufacturing environment
· Knowledge of cybersecurity and experience in maintaining the security of the operational technology used in manufacturing systems
Desirable:
· Relevant IT certifications/qualifications
