Job Title: Manufacturing Systems Engineer
Location: Rochester, Kent
Salary: Circa £40,000 dependent on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing:

Leading the implementation and continuous improvement of technology initiatives across the manufacturing plant by researching new and emerging technologies, carrying out feasibility studies, cost analyses, and capital expenditure proposals for new equipment

Researching new tools and technologies to improve the delivery of product

Helping to shape and design the digital twin of our future business

Leveraging Operational Technology/IT to drive improvements to data based decision making
-
Monitoring and troubleshooting integrated systems and identifying opportunities to improve production performance

Ensuring all digital and automation projects adhere to safety, quality, (cyber) security and compliance standards
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
-
Experience with Capital equipment acquisition process – end to end experience buying new equipment from research and justification through to implementation and handover

Manufacturing / Process / Production / Industrial Engineering experience
-
Strong understanding of IT/OT integration (such as API’s, SCADA, MES) and proficiency in data-driven decision-making tools (such as IoT, Big Data, AI, machine learning) using programming languages such as Python or JAVA
Desirable:
-
Experience with REVIT (preferable) or AUTOCAD (acceptable) or other 3D modelling systems such as Solidworks (acceptable)

Experience working with IT groups to implement Operational Technology (OT)

Understanding of machinery regs, PUWER, LEV management, CA/CE requirements
