Main Mission:

As ETO plant director, you have the duty to guarantee a safe working environment for each person at every moment. Make sure the operations performed are protecting the environment and focused on sustainability (Energy consumption, water consumption, air & ground pollution, zero waste to landfill, Circular economy).
People Engagement & Efficiency

Therefore, you should continuously animate, develop, support and innovate in this capacity to keep the teams performing and continuously improving over time. Building the best team is one of our leadership expectations and is key for you as ETO plant director to face your challenges and deliver the expected performance. You have the responsibility to make sure the team members have the right skill sets, diversity and the adequate behavior to achieve their goals. This includes recruiting the right talent, putting them in the right roles, and building succession paths. You play an important role in the development and growth of your team by coaching & mentoring them, proposing a training path, and providing them exposure opportunities inside and outside of the entity.
Relationships with local unions & local authorities
Based on the local regulations, you have the responsibility to represent your entity and make sure the legal social agenda is followed, the information is given to the work council according to the law.
Relationships with Business/Sales organizations/External Customer
A strong understanding of the business and the customer needs is critical. The plant director must build strong, collaborative relationships with the businesses who are depending on their products and equipment, and the external customers that buy those
Serve customer satisfaction & ensure full customer experience
Stating the obvious, everything starts from knowing your business and understanding the customers' expectations and needs in terms of offer quality, service level, and competitiveness.

Strive to consistently improve the Customer experience in Schneider Electric interactions by leveraging the appropriate processes, deploying the right tools & digital capabilities, and engaging your team in continuous transformation and improvement actions, orchestrating and mastering the Schneider Performance System (SPS), to Deliver the Results.
Review and validate ETO commercial offers we propose to customers to maximize Order volume and profitability, then ensure thereafter the teams are managing those ETO projects end to end (from Engineering to Factory Acceptance test) with the highest level of customer centricity
Guarantee manufacturing cost, cash competitiveness and optimise the Capital Employed
As ETO plant director you own your P&L and have the responsibility to activate improvement actions while respecting global policy & strategy (procurement, quality, technical...) to reduce the cost of the offer in the plant and improve profitability of the offers we make to customers. To perform this duty, you should have a clear understanding of the offer cost structure (P&L breakdown) and translate all actions performed at every level of the cost structure into P&L savings. This includes material cost management through common products and parts benchmarks, MEC/NEC ratio analysis, production and process automation solutions, etc - which contribute to Consolidated Standard Cost (CSC) improvements.
Represent Schneider Electric as a global company in the local ecosystem
Ethics, Responsibility, and Leadership at a local level
The plant is the Schneider Electric face in the local environment. You represent Schneider Electric in front local official authorities & associations. To perform this responsibility properly, you should understand and be aware of all rules and regulations applicable to their activity and make sure entity complies with them. As ETO plant director you may be also involved in local activities (exhibitions, ...)
Strategy and Vision at a global level
While representing Schneider Electric at a local level, the ETO plant director should understand the global vision and strategy for Schneider Electric at a global level and unfold this strategy into concrete local actions throughout the deployment and animation of the Winning Plan. The ETO plant director plays a critical role in Shaping Our Future

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in plant or operations management within the manufacturing industry.
- Proven track record of effectively leading and developing high-performing teams, with a focus on operational excellence and employee engagement.
- In-depth knowledge of UK manufacturing processes, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to craft and implement strategic plans to drive plant performance, optimize processes, and achieve operational goals.
- Experience in leading change management initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Relevant certifications or advanced degrees are a plus.
