We're excited to offer an opportunity to join our Project Management Team, supporting the Cloud and Infrastructure business in the UK.
As part of the Engagement Management Community, you'll lead the delivery of technology-enabled transformation projects across a variety of sectors and environments-including our rapidly growing Cyber practice. Our team is distributed across the UK and brings together a wide range of skills, from generalists to subject matter experts. Hybrid working: The places that you work from day to day will vary according to your role, your needs, and those of the business; it will be a blend of Company offices, client sites, and your home; noting that you will be unable to work at home 100% of the time.

Your role
As a Project Manager, you'll receive the training and support needed to grow your career and make a meaningful impact. You'll be responsible for:
- Leading projects and programmes to deliver in line with contractual and financial commitments
- The delivery and commercial relationship with the client
- Building strong client relationships and exceeding expectations - including in difficult situations and being able to have complicated and politically complex delivery and commercial discussions
- Meeting engagement targets and identifying opportunities to generate additional value
- Identifying business opportunities and driving sales opportunities
- Acting as a programme or portfolio manager - including being able to manage projects alongside other senior staff in Capgemini
- Ensuring adherence to project management methodologies and financial controls
- Working closely with the technical team - and ability to support the technical governance
- Recovering failing projects in line with contractual / financial commitments
- Working with global delivery teams from a number of geographies in (mainly in Europe, USA and India).
- Managing the people on your project to ensure that they deliver to time, quality and cost targets
- Manage people within the wider organisation to provide coaching and help them to learn from your experience
- Take part in improvement initiatives across the organisation to help drive better ways of working

Your skills and experience
We're looking for individuals who are:
- Motivated and collaborative, with a passion for technology and its potential to transform organisations
- Experienced in managing projects through the full delivery lifecycle, meeting agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards - with a background of formal governance including traditional project management (waterfall) and agile methodologies.
- Extensive management and leadership skills - including in difficult situations
- able to demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills with an ability to operate at board level - including in difficult situations
- Able to induce confidence in senior management regarding your judgement around the project / programme / portfolio finances, solution and commercials
- Experienced in managing external clients though fixed price and T&M contract types.
- Skilled in delivering projects aligned with financial / contractual obligations
- Familiar with requirements gathering, design, build, and implementation
- Able to identify potential sales opportunities, develop the relationships to drive sales and knowledgeable about the sales process and experienced in managing bids
- Have experience of supporting, mentoring and coaching project / engagement managers
- Staff management experience
