We're hiring a Managing Partner, Programmatic as part of our team based from either London or Manchester.

Purpose of the Role

The Managing Partner. Programmatic will lead a team of programmatic specialists across the UK and be a member of the senior leader at dentsu digital. As the programmatic team lead, they'll have the responsibility of nurturing talent and fostering a culture of expertise within the Programmatic department. They'll be driving the growth of the capability by enhancing a market leading proposition, working with dentsu's partnership and trading teams to accelerate key partnerships as well as actively contributing to dentsu's brand growth through thought leadership. Serving as a client-facing expert, you'll craft strategic solutions, support pitches, and foster key client relationships, solidifying dentsu's position as a leader in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and direction for dentsu's programmatic initiatives in the UK, collaborating with stakeholders across the UK and Global teams.
  • Lead a diverse team of programmatic experts across the UK and offshore locations, ensuring their growth and development while driving commercial success.
  • Drive profitability and growth by delivering on targets, employing effective resource planning, and ensuring best practices, consistency, and innovation across all programmatic activities. Work with client leads and growth leads to ensure programmatic investment growth
  • Foster collaboration with other channel leaders, standardizing work output, and engaging in cross-channel strategic planning.
  • Develop and evolve the product offering in partnership with strategic alliances to adapt to market and technology changes.
  • Cultivate programmatic knowledge across the dentsu UK network, spearheading initiatives for thought leadership, and enhancing relationships with key media owners and senior clients.

Delivering Client Solutions:

  • Represent dentsu's capability, maintaining a competitive edge in the industry, and serving as a strategic subject matter expert in client engagements.
  • Lead or support senior client communications, ensuring strategic solutions are effectively communicated and driving business growth with existing and prospective clients

Team Leadership:

  • Define and drive the programmatic vision, motivating the team to achieve excellence while building a team of subject matter experts.
  • Support programmatic leaders in personal development and ownership of core pillars, ensuring alignment with the broader vision.
  • Provide oversight and make strategic decisions on resourcing, recruitment, and career development within the programmatic department.

Beyond Team & Client Responsibilities:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and competitor activities, sharing insights and implications with the agency.
  • Foster relationships with core partners such as Google, Amazon, TTD, etc., to enhance knowledge and identify opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other Heads of Capability to ensure complementary offerings and standalone proposition strength.
  • Identify and onboard new partners/publishers to expand and enhance programmatic capability.
  • Align with relevant dentsu counterparts to enhance the product narratives and ensuring alignment across teams and markets
  • Elevate the Dentsu Programmatic brand through thought leadership, representing Dentsu in the industry and at external events.
