We're hiring for a Managing Partner - Planning as part of Dentsu X in London

Purpose of the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for owning the senior relationships across multiple clients and ensuring the team are providing the best-in-class service through relationship building and challenging client thinking. They will be responsible for delivering consistently brilliant integrated work across their client portfolio, which leverages the various capabilities of dentsu X (and the broader network). The Managing Partner - Planning will also support the work of the MD in driving profitability and growth from their clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing a strong vision for the team, which connects to the dentsu X business goals.
  • Ensuring the vision is cascaded through teams' objectives.
  • Responsible for the uplifting the craft of planning across the client portfolio.
  • Working with the MD to ensure appropriate client development plans are in place.
  • Ensuring these CPD's are communicated to and executed by their team.
  • Managing of the clients' budgets - ensuring delivery of cost to revenue ratio and agreed financial targets across client teams.
  • Ownership of senior client relationships (CMO etc) and the relationship strategy with these clients
  • Playing the leadership role on new business pitches across both creative and media (particularly mid-sized integrated media pitches).
  • Inspiring and motivate the team across clients to deliver and ensure all members understand the client business and the CDP.
  • Cultivating strong relationships with key partners, identifying mutual revenue opportunities
  • Supporting the MD in leading key agency initiatives

Qualifications + Skills [bullet points]

  • 10+ Years experience in media, marketing, and communications.
  • Significant comms planning experience.
  • Experience of senior client relationship building.
  • Building and leading a large successful team + team P&L
  • Commercial knowledge & experience of setting & delivering financial targets.
  • Experience designing commercial models.
  • Contract negotiation.
