How this opportunity is different
Life and annuity re/insurers, need to handle complex products and risks, underpinned by insights from risk modelling to make better business decisions.
To enable their customers to live more confident, secure lives, the Life industry need to invest to enhance return, evaluate strategies and address continuously evolving regulatory and reporting requirements - while controlling costs.
Actuaries and finance professionals are at the heart of addressing these issues with risk modeling software being an essential part of their toolkit.
However, the requirements are extensive and complex:
- Models run across thousands of scenarios, shocks, and sensitivities so the scale is huge and requires high performance computing.
- Data processing and storage requirements are extensive to collect granular information.
- Processes are often over-reliant on error-prone manual tasks.
- Unknown logic makes validation difficult and limits detailed analysis.
To address these needs, Aon's Life Risk Modeling Suite provides enterprise solutions for pricing, projections, valuation and hedging. The software uses a GPU-based high performance modeling engine (PathWise®) and features an integrated end-to-end set of capabilities that delivers speed, automation, and governance for better business decisions.
Aon's Life Solutions team develops, implements, and supports Life Risk Modeling Suite (PathWise) solutions. We have a partnership approach which often includes SaaS support and additional services for production management and more. We also provide value consulting services typically focused on actuarial analyses, reviews of hedging programs, and modeling of insurance liabilities and financial assets.
This position will directly contribute to the success of our Aon Life Risk Modelling Suite clients as well as contribute to the growth of Aon Life Solutions through outstanding client service, knowledge of the market, developing industry relationships, and contributing to thought leadership.
In this role, you will lead a team that uses state of the art technology to serve our global clients base, working closely with people in EMEA and Toronto, spanning SaaS Production, platform, and account teams within Aon (having 50.000 colleagues). We use cloud providers and 3rd party integrations to do more and better for clients.
