Managing Director, London Caribbean Fac Team

As a Managing Director of the London Caribbean Team, based in our London office, you will Form part of the Caribbean Facultative Senior Leadership and Management Team and will take a prominent role in developing and executing on growth opportunities and service enhancements.

The role will involve:

  • Attracting, retaining and upskilling talent in the London team to enhance our client offering from a London perspective.
  • Work closely with the regional leader to deliver on the annual and Long Term Plans and contributing actively to the Regional P&L, budget and planning cycle.
  • Shared ownership of the pipeline and coordinating and aligning the best resources to execute on pipeline opportunities.
  • Build positive influence across the marketplace, with clients/cedents and reinsurers/markets.
  • Provide placement, structuring and market advice supporting the largest opportunities and solving issues arising.
  • Build on the strengths of the team, developing HiPo talent and address the specialty (and other) gaps in expertise that are preventing growth.
  • Build and maintain a dynamic talent pipeline across the region.
  • Working with regional and country CEOs, to support the talent acquisition strategy and execution plan annual performance & compensation review process/cycle.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • Significant experience of Caribbean Direct & Facultative insurance.
  • Deep knowledge of the region and the market dynamics.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
  • Ability to handle large and complex cross-class placements.
  • Ability to travel frequently to the region.
  • Spanish language skills preferable but not essential.
