Value Creation Services (VCS) is a hands-on, delivery focused performance improvement team. This is an opportunity to leverage your performance improvement and turnaround experience in a stimulating new environment. The Managed Exit team within our VCS practice is experiencing rapid growth and we now have multiple opportunities across the team to recruit high calibre delivery individuals.

You will have the opportunity to work closely with our clients in delivering performance improvement, predominantly in corporate simplification and managed wind downs. winddowns candidates will benefit from a demonstrable strong track record in delivering these types of projects, experience in navigating senior stakeholders and strong analytical skills, including Excel/PowerPoint capability.

You will be responsible for:

• Working on a range of advisory projects, regularly interacting with client management, finance/cross-functional teams, and other advisors from across Deloitte.
• Being a core team member of specific workstreams or leading smaller projects within corporate simplification and managed exit engagements, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and timelines.
• Assessing the financial, operational, and reputational implications of simplification and managed exit strategies, and contributing to the development of recommendations.
• Supporting engagement directors with the development of strategic recommendations for the optimal management of non-core assets or entities.
• Supporting the execution of detailed project plans, sometimes as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Designing and preparing financial outcome statements.
• Preparing entities for Members' Voluntary (solvent) Liquidation.
• Assisting with internal and external project stakeholder management and reporting issues to the engagement director/partner on a timely basis with recommended solutions.
• Supporting business development initiatives, including conducting preliminary analysis of legal entity structures and identifying opportunities for rationalisation, simplification, and managed wind-downs.
• Working effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution.
• Developing, coaching, and motivating junior members of the team.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

• ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent) preferred.
• A strong understanding of Restructuring and Insolvency legislation (CPI or JIE qualifications desirable, but not a prerequisite).
• Experience working with international legal entity structures and multi-jurisdictional projects.
• A proven track record of successfully managing workstreams or smaller projects within complex, multi-phased, cross-functional engagements.
• A basic understanding of the UK Members' Voluntary Liquidation process (and other jurisdiction equivalents) and its implementation.
• A basic understanding of corporate law, tax implications, accounting principles, and operational considerations related to legal entity reorganisation and entity liquidation/dissolution.
• Experience in preparing and implementing solvent wind-down plans for controlled/orderly wind-downs outside of an insolvency process (relevant read across of experience from trading insolvencies will also be considered).
• Excellent numeracy skills with keen attention to detail and the ability to absorb and analyse large amounts of data quickly.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• A commitment to delivering an exceptional service to clients, with the ability to work quickly and establish effective working relationships.
• Agility to work on multiple internal and external initiatives simultaneously.
• Initiative to take on new challenges within a supportive environment.
• Logical and methodical approach to problem-solving.
