Deloitte's Treasury Advisory team, one of the leading team in the UK, is expanding its team to work alongside Corporate Treasury and Private Equity teams, purely in an advisory capacity, addressing their most complex financial and operational challenges.

We are seeking an experienced Treasury Technology Manager to lead and deliver critical technology projects for our clients and contribute to business development initiatives, supporting senior members of the team in increasing our pipeline of opportunities, inputting into our continuing development of innovative propositions and the ongoing establishment of our market-leading position.

This role requires a proven track record of successfully managing complex technology projects, from initiation to closure, encompassing system selection, implementations, upgrades and integrations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and a deep understanding of treasury operations.

We operate across all sectors and we are currently looking for a Manager.

As a Treasury Technology Manager in the Treasury Advisory team you will be responsible for:

  • Project delivery: Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for treasury technology initiatives, including:
    • Defining project scope and developing project plans,
    • Managing budgets, resources and timelines,
    • Managing stakeholders and project risks,
    • Ensuring adherence to project methodologies and risk compliance,
    • Providing technical expertise and support to clients.
  • System selection: Lead the evaluation and selection of new treasury management systems and related technologies, including conducting vendor assessments, developing RFPs, and participating in due diligence processes.
  • Implementation and upgrades: Oversee the implementation and upgrade of treasury management systems and related technologies, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruption to business operations. This includes working closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
  • Integrations: Manage the integration of treasury systems with other enterprise systems, ensuring data accuracy and efficient workflows.
  • Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the business by:
    • Identifying and developing new business opportunities.
    • Preparing proposals and presentations for clients.
    • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other professionals.
    • Contributing to thought leadership initiatives and marketing efforts.
  • Client Management: Provide daily expert advice and support to senior client personnel. Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with a diverse and inclusive team where people are recognised for their contribution.

Our team is part of Corporate Finance advisory, which provides a range of complementary advisory services to a wide range of companies. You will work closely with our experts in the Debt Advisory, Transaction Services and Technology & Transformation teams.

Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:

Essentials:

  • Master's level degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, e.g. Finance, Technology, Business Administration or other relevant professional qualification or degree such as AMCT;
  • Proven experience in managing treasury technology projects (e.g., TMS selections, implementations, upgrades, integrations) gained within the Treasury department of a large corporate, a consulting firm or at a treasury technology vendor;
  • Deep understanding of treasury operations and processes;
  • Experience with various treasury management systems (TMS) and related technologies (e.g. payment systems, cash management systems);
  • Experience with vendor management and contract negotiation;
  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and security best practices;
  • Experience with data migration and integration processes;
  • Strong project management skills and proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams;
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills;
  • Perfect fluency in oral and written English;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a natural desire and ability to ask probing questions and solve challenges;
  • Report writing experience, with the ability to document findings and recommendations clearly and concisely;
  • Desire to work in an advisory consulting environment and build a career in professional services; and
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), with advanced Excel skills.

Desirables:

  • Experience with Kyriba, FIS Quantum/Integrity, ION IT2/Reval/WallStreet Suite, GTreasury.
  • Experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence and Reporting Business Intelligence in a treasury context.
