Manager, Transformation Architecture & Delivery, Banking & Capital Markets
The Transformation Architecture & Delivery team sits at the heart of EY's Financial Services Business Transformation practice. Our TA&D team consists of deeply experienced and proven Financial Services professionals, who draw on their knowledge to provide specialised delivery leadership to Consumer, Commercial and Wholesale Banks, Payment's providers, Insurers and Asset Managers to manage their strategic, most complex and business-critical change.
Some of the client services that the TA&D team offers include:
- Helping our clients manage large, complex programmes and portfolios of change, whether it be business transformation, technology and data led transformations, regulatory driven change, digital change initiatives or customer remediation programmes.
- Support and advise clients to enhance their transformation capabilities by assessing their current transformation processes, identifying areas for improvement, implementing strategies, and coaching their staff to build a more robust and effective transformation function within their organization.
- Develop and maintain the transformation portfolio strategy for our clients, ensuring alignment with their organisation goals and business objectives. You will ensure effective integration and coordination across all portfolio initiatives, reporting on portfolio performance, providing insights and recommendations at decision-making forums.
- Provide an independent objective assessment of the status and health of client's transformation initiatives and programmes, ranging from rapid 'health-checks' and gateway reviews to full programme monitoring, for Regulators, Boards, the C-suite, transformation sponsors and teams.
- Shape and mobilise our client's strategic programmes and establish effective governance at the level of Programme, Value Stream, and/or Transformation Office (TMO).
In providing these services, the team brings together multi-disciplinary teams from across EY Consulting and the wider firm; working closely with our clients, we assess situations quickly, apply our thinking, offer points of view and advice, build confidence, and deliver outcome focussed transformational change for our clients.

Skills and attributes for success
Successful candidates would be required to demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
Client delivery and business acumen:
- Significant experience of leading large, cross functional teams to deliver complex transformation programmes and strategic portfolios of change within the Banking & Capital Markets industry.
- Prior consulting experience, encompassing time spent in a Big 4 or top tier consulting firm or in the internal consulting/transformation function within a Bank.
- Deep understanding of the banking and capital markets sector (preferably in one of the Banking & Capital Market areas e.g. Retail, consumer or commercial, SME or wholesale banking, payments, cards, mortgages, commercial credit, investment banking, broker-dealers, custody, fund administration, risk (financial and non-financial risk), including knowledge of industry trends, regulatory environment, financial products, and the technology landscape.
- Prior experience of delivering strategic change in two or more of the following:
- Definition/implementation/embedding of target operating models
- Cost transformation initiatives, Regulatory driven change, Tech/Data-enabled or digital transformation, or customer remediation
- Design and operation of large Transformation Management office (TMO)
- Transformation portfolio management, tracking and reporting
- Programme assessment/programme assurance.
- Proficiency in business and data analysis: Ability to identify and draw actionable insights from complex datasets, assess our client's business needs, conduct process mapping, gap analysis, and provide strategic guidance on how to best utilise technology and other solutions to meet their goals and objectives.
- Hands-on experience with Agile delivery methods and frameworks such as Scrum, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and Kanban, including performing roles like Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Agile Project Manager/Coach.
- Professional delivery certifications i.e. Agile certification i.e. PSM I (Professional Scrum Master) or PSPO I (Professional Scrum Product Owner) and/or relevant project management certifications i.e. PMP (Project Management Professional) or Prince 2.
- Adept at use of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tools such as Microsoft PPM, Planview, Planisware, ServiceNow ITBM, Oracle Primavera, SAP PPM, Broadcom Clarity, JIRA Align, Smartsheet etc.
- Bachelor's degree (or degree equivalent); a Master's degree or MBA is highly desirable.

- Highly flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to work across diverse market sectors and be ready to 'get their hands dirty' as well as providing leadership and strategic direction.
