Job description

Introduction

Are you looking for an exciting career at the cutting edge of KPMG's response to the global agenda on sustainability and climate change? Do you want to work in a lively and energetic environment where you will have the opportunity to shape some of the most significant structural shifts the world has ever seen with a range of clients?

Sustainability and Climate Risk team was established in response to the unprecedented raft of regulation impacting the industry. In response to the increased regulatory focus on sustainability and climate related matters, we are looking to expand the team to increase coverage on this critical topic.

KPMG's Sustainability and Climate Risk team aims to lead the market in providing pragmatic and insightful intelligence to KPMG clients and enable them to respond to and manage these matters.

The Role

Consistent, comparable, and reliable information on climate-related risks and opportunities will allow investors and capital markets to price risks and manage opportunities more accurately and efficiently. This in turn will help investors, companies, regulators, and policymakers in driving a successful and smoother transition to a net-zero and more sustainable economy. However, many companies have not disclosed the significant assumptions embedded in their financials nor completed robust, quantified climate-related scenario analysis and developed decarbonisation plans. Without that information, the true costs and impacts of sustainability and climate related matters on assets, securities and companies, as well as society at large, may remain unidentified and unaddressed. A robust independent analysis plays a crucial role in disclosing material sustainability and climate-related risks, its impacts on financial statements and challenging transition plans.

The successful candidates will work across multiple engagements managing the delivery of key outputs across audit, assurance, advisory and reporting. We are seeking specialists who combine passion, dynamism, enthusiasm, capability, accountability, and above all, the ability to be a team player.
