You will work closely with practitioners in our Strategy, Risk & Transactions Advisory business, including senior partners, to understand opportunities and challenges and to provide financial advice to enable better decision making. You will need to build strong relationships with all stakeholders based on trust and impact.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with the business to understand financial challenges. Providing practical advice and solutions, you will operate as a catalyst for informed decision making and improving financial performance.
  • Responsibility for financial planning and forecasting.
  • Drive monthly performance management. Identifying and understanding variances and trends, providing insight and independent advice to business leaders.
  • Develop trust and build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Creation of models to help support the business in strategic decision making and performance analysis.
  • Driving strategic initiatives from conception through to implementation and realisation of benefits.
  • Owning key processes and standards across Business Finance to drive ongoing improvement and consistent best practice.
  • Work closely with the Financial Control team to gain an in-depth understanding of key controllership metrics.

Core skills required include:

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent), with experience in a finance business partnering role.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of the key factors which influence business performance.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; developing strong relationships with all levels of staff with ability to influence where required.
  • Strong technical, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to drive change and experience of leading initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Energy and motivation; an enthusiastic and dedicated team player.
  • Excellent communication skills - experience of dealing with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work on own initiative and under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Good IT knowledge and skills in particular modelling and presentations (strength in Excel and PowerPoint essential).
  • Experience in a professional service organisation would be advantageous.
