Overview

Moorhouse Consulting is a responsive, flexible and imaginative consulting firm, which delivers change and end to end business transformation to their clients who include blue chip organisations, government departments, and regulators. Moorhouse brings energy and creativity to consulting, supported by expertise and an approach of 'doing with' rather than 'doing to'. Moorhouse has built a diverse, passionate team of circa 300 people, invests in wellbeing, work/life balance, training and reward and is Great Place to Work certified. In 2022, consistent with recent years, the company reported 15% annual growth, and is on target to achieve a turnover of £65m+ in the next two years.

Founded in 2004, as an independent business, and then part of the BT Group, Moorhouse was most recently acquired in 2018 and is now a part of Expleo, a circa €1bn technology and professional services firm. The business is accredited by the Lean Competency System and has consistently ranked in the Financial Times's Top 50 UK Management Consultancies, representing its high-value consulting capability.

Moorhouse offers consulting services across eight key sectors: Energy & Utilities, Financial Services, Government & Public Sector, Health & Care, Life Sciences, Retail, Telco, Media & Technology, and transport. And functionally there is a focus on four key capabilities - Delivery and Performance, Digital & Data, People & Change, and Strategy & Customer.

Our culture

Moorhouse's consultants are proactive, collaborative, and a close-knit group of straightforward team players. We value agility and place emphasis on honesty and integrity. As part of the Moorhouse team, you will be part of a supportive and high-performing organisation that shares the workload, looks after each other, and celebrates success together.

Moorhouse attracts some of the best talent, who join from the Big 4, FTSE 100 and similar, because of the opportunity to deliver outstanding work in an entrepreneurial environment and progress in a

genuine meritocracy amongst like-minded colleagues.

Why Moorhouse?

We pride ourselves in being proactive, collaborative and straightforward team players. We like to move fast as a team and both honesty and integrity are key to this. In return you will be part of a supportive and high-performing team that shares the workload, looks after each other and celebrates success together. You can be assured of an exciting opportunity that will stretch you and equip you with skills, experience and knowledge that can help organisations respond to the turbulence, change and opportunity that will define the future of work. We don't do politics, egos or personal agendas - it consumes too much time and distracts us from being successful together.

Experience

What are we looking for?

Potential is what excites us so we are keen to hear from people who want to harness their experience within an organisation that will invest in their professional development from day one. This isn't just about skills for the job but skills for life - mindset, adaptability, resilience and leadership to name just a few. You will be a key member of the sector leadership team and involved in shaping how we run the business so the ability to lead others; shape and influence our continued growth and success as a sector team; and contribute to sales and business development is key.

Moorhouse has grown and developed its Financial Services work into a multi-million pound sector. This growth has been fuelled not only through a series of strong client relationships and great client work, but also as a result of organisations wanting to look beyond the larger consultancy suppliers who have traditionally dominated the sector. They are also as interested in learning from the experience we can bring from other sectors as they are from wanting to work with a consultancy that embeds itself in small integrated teams working in a truly collaborative fashion.

Moorhouse is looking for candidates with significant experience and networks across Insurance and / or Banking sub-sectors to help drive the growth ambitions of our Financial Services sector across regulatory and compliance topics.

The successful candidates must be able to evidence:

  • 6 - 8 years' consulting experience, from a big consulting firm, boutique consultancy or experience gained in delivering regulatory and compliance programmes in industry;
  • A successful track record of delivering complex regulatory programmes such as MiFID 2, SM&CR, GDPR, EMIR, Consumer Duty, Solvency 2 or similar;
  • Proven experience of regulatory consulting and delivering large scale risk and/or regulatory programmes across all client functions;
  • Proactivity in horizon scanning of industry trends including developing deep understanding of regulatory changes;
  • An ability to shape and implement complex business change and transformational programmes;
  • A people-led focus and experience of having developed and grown teams around you
  • Demonstrable experience of leading and developing a team of project resources in a complex, matrix managed environment;
  • A passion for building and nurturing strong relationships, both with clients and colleagues;
  • A strong track record of scoping and delivering consulting solutions and services;
  • Experience of effectively managing and collaborating with senior client stakeholders.

Benefits

What we can offer you:

  • A total cash package of £110,000 comprising of a base salary of £82,005 and a combination of personal and company bonuses that are paid every six months
  • 25 days annual leave increasing by one day for every full year of service to a maximum of 30 days with the option to buy or sell up to five days of annual leave per year
  • Life Assurance, Private Medical Insurance, Group Personal Pension Scheme and a range of discounted lifestyle and well-being benefits through Perkbox
  • A culture where you will not need to compete with others because of promotion quotas or the typical distribution curves that govern performance management in other organisations. We recognise and reward performance consistently and transparently across the firm so that everyone knows where they stand.

Moorhouse is proud to be an equal opportunities employer and our values underpin a working environment that is inclusive for all those who work for us. We encourage people to bring their whole selves to work, contribute ideas, take the initiative and be responsible for their impact on others internally and externally.
