Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) Lead

Adoption Lancashire & Blackpool (ALB) are a dynamic and forward-thinking Regional Adoption Agency (RAA) dedicated to providing exceptional adoption services. Our mission is to ensure every child finds a loving and supportive family.

We are currently seeking an experienced and passionate RAA Leader to work closely with both Lancashire County Council and Blackpool Council and provide strategic direction for the RAA to deliver high-quality adoption services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the RAA, ensuring effective collaboration and integration with both Lancashire County Council and Blackpool Council
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance adoption services and outcomes.
  • Strategically oversee the recruitment, assessment, and support of adoptive families.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and best practice standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the RAA.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve service objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, adoptive families, and partner agencies.
  • Provide leadership and a clear vision to a dedicated team of adoption professionals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within adoption or children's services.
  • Strong understanding of adoption legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent strategic planning and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective partnerships.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
