Position Summary
The Manager, Continent Information Security Partnerships, Property Security Compliance is a key role in continent security aspects relating to planning, executing, and managing the Marriott Security Compliance Assessment program, providing the necessary support to above-property and on-property teams. The objective for this role is to attain maximum security compliance status and ensure that all IT operations in the continent follow company security standards. This includes enforcing Marriott Security Standards and requirements for properties.

The role performs tracking and reporting on established security policies and processes as implemented at the hotels and reports directly to the Senior Director/Director, Continent Information Security Partnerships. This position maintains strong relationships with and provides support to Area IT Leaders and liaises with additional teams within Information Security. The role requires travel up to 75% of work capacity.

Key Responsibilities

Security Assessments & Audits

  • Lead and execute audits, security assessments, and control reviews across infrastructure, applications, data, cloud, and third-party services.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of information security controls (technical and administrative) aligned with corporate standards.
  • Perform risk-based assessments and identify vulnerabilities, non-compliances, and improvement opportunities.
  • Review historical and real-time audit/assessment findings to develop best practices and implementation guides.
  • Manage the audit/assessment program end-to-end including planning, scoping, fieldwork, and follow-up.
  • Organize and facilitate kick-off meetings, walkthroughs, updates, and closing sessions.
  • Track audit timelines, milestones, and risk issues to ensure timely completion.

Stakeholder Engagement & Remediation

  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to develop pragmatic remediation plans and track closure.
  • Prepare clear and structured audit reports with actionable findings and risk ratings.
  • Provide input on risk treatment strategies, control enhancements, and policy updates.
  • Develop and manage communication plans tailored to stakeholder needs.
  • Contribute to the development of internal audit methodology, templates, and documentation.

Additional Core Activities

  • Sign off on new property openings and review implemented policies and controls.
  • Coordinate with continent IT Operations teams on tactical communications and issue remediation.
  • Track compliance performance across the continent and collaborate with Area IT Managers for issue resolution.
  • Facilitate training and education sessions for IT Operations and field associates.
  • Report security and compliance metrics to various stakeholders including GIS and continent leadership.
  • Support general IT security queries and identify learning gaps.

Candidate Profile

Education and Experience (Required):

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or related field-or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of IT or Information Security experience, including:
    • 3+ years in executing technology or security projects and programs.
    • 2+ years implementing enterprise security risk management frameworks.
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications:

Security certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, PCI ISA, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, CISSP, CISM).

Hotel IT Management or experience in the hospitality industry.

Strong understanding of PCI DSS, NIST CSF, and global regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

Knowledge of technical security controls and infrastructure security.

Experience with security incident response coordination.

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and execute tasks under pressure.

Graduate or postgraduate degree preferred.
