As part of the TPD team, you'll work with a diverse group of talented professionals across Deloitte to deliver value to our clients throughout the delivery lifecycle. You'll play a key role in helping clients achieve their strategic goals by ensuring the successful delivery of technology solutions that are scalable, efficient, and future-ready.

As a Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering critical projects, with responsibilities that will flex based on specific client engagements. You will lead project teams, often cross-functional, to achieve key outcomes for our clients. You will leverage your project management expertise and technical understanding, combined with your knowledge of the TMT industry and M&A lifecycle, to guide clients through complex challenges.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the planning and execution of M&A-related projects within the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, ensuring successful delivery and value creation for clients.
- Applying a deep understanding of TMT market dynamics and M&A trends to anticipate client challenges and inform project strategies and solutions, leveraging advanced analytics and AI-driven insights where applicable .
- Managing project workstreams and teams, facilitating project ceremonies (e.g., stand-ups, sprint reviews) and tracking progress using appropriate methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Collaborating effectively with internal teams and client stakeholders at various levels, building strong relationships and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identifying potential risks and issues, escalating them to the programme leadership, and assisting in the development of mitigation strategies.
- Preparing project reports, presentations, and other communication materials to keep stakeholders informed of project status and key decisions.
- Contributing to business development activities, including supporting pre-sales efforts, preparing proposals, and participating in client presentations to showcase our capabilities.
- Actively participating in internal practice development activities, learning from senior colleagues, and contributing to a collaborative and inclusive team environment, to support a growing TMT team.
Connect to your skills and professional experience
As a Project Manager, with a strong focus on M&A project delivery within the Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) sector, we're looking for the following skills and experience:
- Demonstrated experience in successfully managing project teams and leading the delivery of complex projects, particularly those involving M&A integration, separation, or due diligence.
- A solid understanding of the M&A lifecycle and its practical application within the TMT industry, including key challenges and success factors, with proven experience in planning and executing critical operational transitions, such as Day 1 cutovers
- Proven ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal and client stakeholders, translating strategic objectives into clear project deliverables.
- Strong understanding of TMT products, processes, and technologies, with knowledge in areas such as:
- Digital platforms, content delivery, and media technologies.
- Telecommunications infrastructure, services, and regulatory environments.
- Ad-tech, data analytics, and emerging business models within TMT.
- Cloud migration strategies, cybersecurity considerations in M&A, and data governance frameworks.
- An appreciation of emerging technologies and trends impacting the TMT M&A landscape.
- Proficiency in key project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, and Confluence.
Preferably you also have:
- Relevant project management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Scrum Master).
- Experience contributing to business development activities, such as supporting proposal writing or client presentations.
- A background in consulting or professional services.
- Hands-on experience with specific AI/ML tools or platforms used for data analysis, predictive modelling, or automation in a corporate or consulting environment.
