Primary Function

Anixter is seeking Project Implementation Manager (PIM)/Engineer to provide broad support to all aspects of our Supply Chain Solutions (SCS) projects for data center cabinets and controls. This position requires a large amount of correspondence via email and phone. Clear and effective writing and verbal communication are essential to the success of this role. Individuals with strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to problems should apply.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Manage successful delivery of a project(s) from the onset of a "WIN" through completion.
  • Communicate effectively with multiple departments connected to a project (Program Development, Sales/Customer, Project Services, Inventory Management, and Operations)
  • Provide technical support for warehouse(s) handling Supply Chain Services (SCS) projects.
  • Write detailed assembly work instructions and other required project deliverables.
  • Set up In-house automation production facility.
  • Provide hands on technical support to projects during implementation.
  • Support day-to-day operations when required to troubleshoot or drive program success.
  • Travel when required to support project activities (Estimate 40% travel including internationally)

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years experience with warehousing, manufacturing or data center operations
  • Previous Supply Chain Services (SCS) or manufacturing experience
  • BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) or other certifications preferred.
  • IPC-620A certified.
  • Pre-terminated copper/fibre and cable assembly inhouse or in the field of installations.
  • Experienced in cable assembly location automation set up, a plus.
  • Previous hands-on data center operations or rack assembly experience
  • Electrical Engineering Technology Degree a plus
  • Proficient computer skills (Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Experience in troubleshooting technology (basic electrical networking, IP configuration)
  • Previous project management or manufacturing engineering experience a plus.
  • Continuous Improvement experience (Lean / Six Sigma) Yellow or Green Belt a plus

Location

This position is located in Lichfield, UK, supporting other EMEA locations. Remote work within the UK location can be considered for this role.
