We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Lead with exceptional expertise in OutSystems to spearhead the development and support of cutting-edge software solutions within our expanding team. Ideally, you will have a strong background in .NET applications and a deep understanding of the Insurance sector. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and support of innovative solutions on the OutSystems platform, ensuring they meet our clients' unique business needs while maintaining the seamless operation of critical applications.

As a Technical Lead, you will:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of robust and scalable software solutions, leveraging the full potential of the OutSystems platform, including its visual development environment and pre-built components, while also maintaining and enhancing existing .NET applications.
• Ensure seamless integration and interoperability between OutSystems applications and existing .NET-based systems, acting as a bridge between these technologies.
• Oversee all phases of the software development lifecycle for both OutSystems and .NET projects, from requirements gathering and analysis to design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
• Champion the creation of clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to best practices and coding standards across both OutSystems and .NET solutions.
• Collaborate effectively with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into comprehensive technical specifications, and ensure the successful delivery of projects involving OutSystems and .NET technologies.
• Take ownership of operational support for both OutSystems and .NET applications, including troubleshooting, performance tuning, and issue resolution.
• Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to guarantee the high availability and stability of critical applications running on both platforms.
• Proactively identify and address potential issues before they impact end-users, demonstrating a proactive approach to maintaining the health of both OutSystems and .NET systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest technologies and industry best practices, particularly in the areas of low-code development with OutSystems, .NET evolution, cloud computing, and DevOps.
• Mentor and guide junior developers, sharing your expertise and experience in both OutSystems and .NET to foster their growth and development.

Experience we're looking for in this role:

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Significant level of experience in software development, with proven hands-on experience using the OutSystems platform.
• Experience implementing applications using .NET framework (C#, ASP .NET).
• Experience in providing application support for critical platforms.
• Experience in the insurance and/or financial services industry.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Entity Framework).
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and leading a team.
• Willingness to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Desirable qualifications:

• OutSystems certifications (e.g., Associate Developer, Professional Developer).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
