Our leading Reputation, Crisis and Resilience (RCR) team supports clients in this intellectually challenging context by helping them better plan for, and build resilience to, strategic risks, issues and incidents, and crises. The RCR team sits within our wider Risk Advisory practice and is growing rapidly. As the largest team of resilience and crisis professionals in the UK, RCR combines deep industry knowledge with both business advisory experience and significant technical expertise.

Connect to your opportunity

You will have the opportunity to work with senior client executives and a wide range of functional teams across a broad range of industries, helping them build resilience to a diverse set of strategic, operational and technology risks. Examples of the some of the engagements you may undertake include:

  • The design and implementation of a large-scale resilience transformation programmes to meet regulatory, government and societal expectations across a number of different sectors
  • Operational readiness programmes for major events and change initiatives (e.g. sporting events, technology 'go live' and strategic product launches)
  • Resilience testing, including scenario stress testing
  • Crisis and incident framework design
  • Deploying on a live responses to support a client in managing an issue or crisis
  • Post-event reviews following a high-profile incident or crisis

Connect to your skills and professional experience

We are looking for applicants with the following professional skills and competencies:

  • Strong understanding of resilience as a subject matter, including the direction of travel of government and regulatory thinking in this area and its practical implications
  • Specialist industry knowledge around resilience advantageous, including requirements set out by global regulators in financial services
  • Ability to quickly understand complex organisations, their supporting operations, technology, third parties and associated risks
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Experience of building strong relationships with external clients and internal stakeholders
  • Ability to work quickly, intelligently and accurately
  • Some flexibility to travel to client locations and to work additional office hours dependent on project demands

Personal independence

Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm). You'll be based in either London or Manchester with hybrid working.
