Location: UK - Remote

Primary Purpose
We are seeking a Manager to lead a group within our Ophthalmic Certification Project Management team. You will oversee a team of Project Managers and Project Associates based in the UK, USA and India. We are looking for an individual who can ensure effective project delivery while fostering growth and collaboration across the wider Project Management team. This role combines people leadership, organizational management, quality and client engagement to enable successful outcomes across multiple programs.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership
- Supervise, coach, and mentor Project Managers, including performance reviews and development planning.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies.
- Build a positive, high-performing team culture.
- Collaborate with other Project Management team managers within the group
Operational Oversight
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Implement tools, processes, and best practices to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Track utilization, resource allocation, and departmental performance metrics.
Client & Program Management
- Serve as a client-facing lead, building strong relationships and ensuring satisfaction.
- Monitor deliverables, risks, and scope changes, and proactively resolve issues.
- Collaborate with Business Development and Contracts teams on RFPs and contract updates.
Quality & Process Improvement
- Promote a culture of quality and accountability within the team.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of SOPs, workflows, and tools.
- Support organizational initiatives that enhance productivity and service delivery.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years in project/program/portfolio management, including at least 2 years in a people management role.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, CRO, or life sciences settings preferred.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent client relationship and communication abilities.
- Effective organizational and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Quality management experience preferred
- Familiarity with clinical research and/or ophthalmology a plus, but not required.
- Occasional travel between corporate locations.
