  • Act as intake point for new sector verticals
  • Assist with drafting and regular review of Minimum Acceptance Criteria
  • Own the MCC Risk List, and be responsible for its ongoing maintenance and updates
  • Create and review merchant facing documentation such as sector vertical questionnaires, and other relevant guidance documents

  • Keep abreast of schemes and APMs updates and how these may need reflecting into existing policies
  • Work with Merchant Risk Architects to ensure policy requirements are translated into operational procedures
  • Partner with the business to promote awareness of relevant merchant risk policy changes

Qualifications

  • Advanced expertise in payments risks, card network rules and operational analysis, with a strong ability to assess and navigate the complexities inherent in high-risk sectors.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, ideally supported by previous professional experience in drafting policies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, and an ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to balance risk and reward, while considering the broader implications for the organization.
  • Agile in managing and adapting to shifting priorities, maintaining a strategic focus on overarching organizational objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement and strategic initiatives within the department, championing innovation and efficiency enhancements.
  • Cultivate a high-performance culture characterized by discipline and a commitment to excellence, setting a standard for the team and the organization.
  • Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging cross-team synergy and reinforcing a unified organizational culture, embodying our core values and operational principles in every action and decision.
