The Project Manager is a crucial orchestrator of change and improvement within a partnership between Real Estate and Information Technology. They are responsible for overseeing a diverse range of projects, from office fit-outs and refurbishments to technology upgrades and sustainability initiatives. Acting as the linchpin between stakeholders, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams, the PM ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. Their deep understanding of real estate operations, coupled with strong project management expertise, enables them to mitigate risks, navigate complexities, and ultimately enhance the value and functionality of the entire portfolio.

As a Project Manager you will have the opportunity to partner with the Deloitte Reall Estate team to deliver the IT enablement work of several building projects across the Real Estate portfolio. You will bring your project management experience of implementing technology services into new and existing buildings. This role will require you to hit the ground running and deal with ambiguity at any given stage within the project lifecycle. You will build strong relationships with your stakeholders and suppliers. With a can-do attitude, you will be accountable for delivering your projects to achieve success. Project Mangers report to the Program Manager for operational delivery related matters and will be coached by a Program Manager in a matrix model.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to)

  • Project Planning & Execution: Plan, manage, and control assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery of deliverables and artefacts
  • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain a detailed project schedule/workplan
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, escalate, and manage project risks and issues
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage stakeholders continuously, manage expectations, and ensure satisfaction
  • Governance & Reporting: Establish effective governance processes and provide timely progress reports with key metrics to stakeholders
  • Requirements Gathering: Facilitate workshops to define project scope and high-level requirements
  • Change Management: Implement a robust change control process, assessing and communicating impacts to ensure alignment
  • Resource & Budget Control: Track, manage, and report on project resources and budgets, ensuring they remain up to date
  • Project Team Leadership: Manage, coach, and motivate the project team, fostering a positive and productive environment
  • Communication & Continuous Improvement: Communicate effectively, embrace transparency, and capture lessons learned through post-project analysis

  • Proven track record delivering IT infrastructure projects within a corporate real estate setting (e.g., office relocations, IT comms room builds, network upgrades).
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components (e.g., network cabling, server rooms, AV equipment, security systems).
  • Experience managing vendors and contractors for IT infrastructure services.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and best practices (e.g., BICSI, TIA/EIA).
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, tight deadlines, and budget constraints.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., RIBA, Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, ServiceNow SPM).
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, risk management, and change control skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in a global organization with geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong financial and commercial awareness and experience of managing budgets and resource utilisation.
  • Value and outcome-driven, with a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring, and controlling projects
