Manager, Guest Services – Housekeeping

You will lead and coach the housekeeping team to deliver an excellent guest experience. Your focus will be on ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness in guest bedrooms, bathrooms, and all leisure and business areas. You will ensure the day-to-day housekeeping service at The Odney Club meets objectives, achieves sales targets, and delivers outstanding customer service by working with departmental managers.

Salary - £30,200 - £47,000

Contract type - Secondment / Fixed term contract

Working pattern - 37.5 hours per week. Earliest start time 06:00 and latest finish of 20:00. Will include weekend working on a rota basis.

Live in available - Single ensuite room

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading housekeeping operations: Collaborating with HK team leaders, you will guide the team to ensure that standards of quality and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

  • Inspiring and developing the housekeeping team: To develop and deliver exceptional customer service at all levels.

  • Ensuring smooth and efficient quality control. 

  • Developing and delivering a customer-focused strategy: In line with business objectives.

  • Creating and maintaining experiences with extra special moments: For our guests to provide a personal experience.

  • Ensuring compliance: Health & safety, food safety, record keeping, and stock control.

  • Controlling the housekeeping budget: Concerning occupancy, departmental expenses and rotas.

  • Matrix working: With other managers, teams, and hotel leads.

  • Acting as Duty Manager: As required, including weekends and Bank Holiday dates.

  • Flexibility to work in other departments as required

Essential skills/experience you’ll need

  • Experience in a multi-site hospitality setting, such as a hotel or private members club.

  • Knowledge of housekeeping and laundry management, Exceptional leadership experience.

  • Full financial accountability – success in profit.

  • PC literate & able to grasp numerous systems, including hotel booking systems / POS / integrations.

  • Drive to deliver exceptional customer service.

Desirable skills/experience you may have

  • Qualifications relevant to the hospitality industry

  • Previous experience of working in a Housekeeping department at a supervisory level, preferably within a 4-star operation.

  • Event management experience
