Role Overview
Today, with significant ambition, A&M is looking to continue the growth of our Global Tax Business. This is an exciting opportunity to join A&M's Funds Tax team in London. As a Manager in our Funds Tax team, you will play a key role in delivering complex tax advisory and compliance services to leading private equity and asset management clients. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with strategic client engagement and team leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of asset management clients advising them in relation to their carried interest and co-investment plans, GP and House related matters.
- Manage a small team of direct reports and work with the broader global reporting team to oversee UK, US and German investor tax reporting.
- Strong knowledge of partnership taxation and private equity structures.
- Apply strong technical and practical knowledge in advising Private Equity firms.
- Maintain a strong client focus with strategic and commercial awareness.
- Communicate work plans, project objectives, and timelines clearly to multidisciplinary teams.
- Build relationships with clients and demonstrate a deep understanding of their businesses, with opportunities to assume additional responsibility quickly.
- Promote an environment of continuous learning by enabling team members to engage in training and varied assignments.
Skills & Attributes
- ACA or CTA qualification.
- Broad tax experience as it relates to private equity and strong awareness of specialist taxes and their application in the private equity sector,
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
- Ability to demonstrate people management experience.
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking.
