Overview:

A&M is seeking a highly skilled professional with proven experience in the Employee Relations space, spanning multiple geographies across EMEA to be the region's Employee Relations Lead. This is an exciting new opportunity for a detail oriented, ER subject matter expert to work in close collaboration with the ER teams across the wider global community. A background in a similar role, with expertise in navigating complex case management with a solution-based approach is a key requirement to form collaborative relationships with People Business Partners, Business leaders, Compliance and Policy colleagues, as well as Senior Leadership and Legal Counsel. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of labor laws across the EMEA region, experience in organizational change, excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise to key stakeholders in the People Business Partner team and business leaders.
  • Advise on ER strategy with a focus on best practice and local legal compliance.
  • Able to balance advice to manage risk, brand and maintaining positive employee experience whilst providing commercial solutions to complex matters.
  • Liaising with external legal counsel and ACAS early conciliation (as relevant to EMEA jurisdictions) to effectively resolve settlement of disputes.
  • Ownership of case management including investigations, grievance, conduct/policy breaches and other disciplinary matters and appeals.
  • Provide high quality and comprehensive investigation and outcome reports/recommendations.
  • Ensure that any legislative changes in consultation with the EMEA compliance lead are reflected in settlement agreements and other collateral.
  • Produce guidance documents for the People Business partners with a focus on best in practice approach.
  • Design and deliver training to key stakeholders as required when new legislation or policy changes require.
  • Deliver coaching and education on effective employee relations practices, including performance improvement and consistent application of HR policies.
  • Identify and implement digital tools and resources to support Global People Organization function and deployment of ER related data.
  • Work with ER colleagues globally to develop a fit for purpose case management reporting tool.
  • Leverage data, dashboards and analytics on a quarterly basis to highlight trends and translate into ER strategy with data led recommendations for business and HR leadership.

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant experience in a lead employee relations, labor relations role across EMEA
  • A legal qualification or employment law background would be highly advantageous
  • Extensive knowledge of local and regional employment laws and regulations across EMEA
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and understanding of Data Privacy regulations across the region
  • Proficiency in HRIS and case management systems
